I was also keeping record of my coinflips and it seems like I lost just over 70% of my coinflips (after 1st orbit)
And I also run into aces and kings with QQ or JJ a couple of times at the final table, but hey I am making good profit so far.

after orbit 1: So I will be looking to increase my ITM to about 35% which should be definitely possible with 50% final tables.

Just from my experience at the 27-player game, an orbit of 188 points should be profitable. Go higher than 425 points and your orbit should put you into the top 100 for the Mercury Division. You get extra cash doing that too. Crack the 500 mark and you'll most likely earn a ticket to the Battle of the Planets playoff game.

Be sure you know when the week begins and ends for your time zone. You don't want to have your last three games be first place finishes only to learn they didn't count. The Battle of the Planets is a week-long event.

I also understand this SNG would qualify for the Cowboy Challenge. That's a chance for a triple victory. A Step One ticket, A weekly high score bonus, and a shot at the monthly playoff game.

Best of luck to you.

24. 17/27 $00.00 $133.94 (+13.59) 00
25. 15/27 $00.00 $132.44 (+12.09) 00
26. 03/27 $06.19 $137.11 (+16.78) 38
27. 08/27 $00.00 $135.61 (+15.28) 00 my AQ got beat by A8....it just happens too often :S
28. 04/27 $03.61 $137.72 (+17.39) 22

@Cairn, I am not playing these for cowboy because when I started doing these I forgot to post my intent :P

But I might do it next month if I will reach the $37,50 mark which would be the requirement for the cowboy challenge.

But first I just want to build my bankroll which is going pretty good so far

And I don't even need to be luckbox for it

Questions:
a] what's an orbit? at a table, orbit is once around, correct? So what is it here?
b] what are BoTP points?

A

In the Battle of the Planets, 20 games will equal a low orbit. If you play 100+ games in a week, the first 100 equal a high orbit. Though the term "orbit" is better known as once around the table, the site also uses it to define this promotion.

B

If you check the promotion section on the Battle of the Planet, you'll see that making the money earns points in the challenge. For example, come in first in a 9-player SNG and you score 45 points. Do this in a 6-player game and you score 39 points. Each game has a different point total based on number of players and how many make the money.

For the 27-player game:
80 points = first
58 points = second
38 points = third
22 points = fourth
18 points = fifth

Finishing out of the money in any of the qualifying SNG games earns zero points.
