This is going to be my 4th set of 100 at this level (300+20). Will do this one and one more for an even 500 and then it's up to the next level (2160 I think?...). Truthfully I'm hopeful to be grinding the real thing before any of that happens though, but we'll see.

Off to a flying start here with hands from game number 1 ( A BINK ) shown as well.

So here we go...

1. 500331012 1st AQo>K6s hand shown in replayer post to follow
2. 500331362 5th QJs<55<73o 6BB shove from the button SB calls 35% off with 55,BB (table drool box...) shoves his stack with the 73o,SB calls BB turns a 7
3. 500362248 5th A10o<98o 7BB shove from 2nd pos.,buttin calls,flops a 9 call was only 15% of his stack,standard beat,NH

I'll take 3 for 3 all day long, especially with a bink on top.

Eyeballing the end of Saints-Niners and then back at it.

Three hands form #500331012...

This first one I have no clue what RustyBarbie is thinking about here. She mucks 10h6s at the end here,so even if I WAS bluffing here...what bluff could she even beat?

Ya just never know and, again,I HAVE seen this bad and worse in .25 45 and 90 man's.

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

This is the key hand of the HU showdown between Bonusse and myself and yeah...I get way lucky here. Just felt I was ahead of so much of his range from my reads over 100 hands with him in this that I was stubborn here. But sometimes you eff up and bink...

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Here's the coupe de grace hand. No brainer really here for me to get it all-in if possible here...

6 down and batting .1000....

4. 500417787 1st K9o>Q7o 9 on the turn
5. 500418137 2nd A8s<AKo blanked through
6. 500418755 7th A9o<QQ<1010 10 flopped 4BB shove after turtling ITM when I lost most of my stack when my only AA hand of the day got sucked out on,shown below

Winning hand in 500177787

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Second place hand in 500418137. This was after I got no joy with KK 2 hands earlier...

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Here's the AA hand...

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

I kinda knew when she check raised the turn, but no way I can get away from it at that point anyway,so just in case she was betting a pair here (and believe me,this chick was definitely capable of that...)I may as well max out the value.

Goofy ass montelongo here tell her "n1" then proceeds to lose 80% of his stack 4 or 5 hands later to her when he open limps AA and she flops a boat on her 93o.

Bet your ass I said "n1".

Ooops, dumped the hands in the earlier posts by mistake today, sorry 'bout that.

Well variance reared it's ugly head at first tonight as my first 7 hands holding AA,KK and QQ resulted in 1 win. But things went better later....

7. 500954093 5th K7s<A3s 4BB shove,blanked thru
8. 500958428 10th QQ<AKo 3x bets from CO,I jam last 11BB from sb,A flops nh sir
9. 500959515 33rd 98o<J5o 3 limps to my BB,952 rainbow flops,I check get a min-raise and 2 callers and ship my last 5BB. 1 caller with the J5,J turns. Was short after having AA cracked by 44 3 hands earlier,all-in over a 5x bet pre,4 flops.
10. 500963708 14th Well,take a look....

11. 500968482 7th AQo<K10o 4BB shove me,K rivers. Cheap call for villain,standard.
12. 501030368 2nd Last hand was J9s<77 short stack shove,7 flops. Why short stack? Well take a gander at the 3 previous hands...

In the words of Kelly Bundy... "case of rum, case of rum".

13. 501030716 9th 87o<1010 shoved last 5Bb from an un-opened button. Totally card dead this one.
14. 501031099 5th J4o<Q5s SB limps to my BB,J53 rainbow flops. He raises 2/3 my stack.I ship and he calls. And turns a Q. Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

Still 10/14 ITM to start with a ROI that I don't want to calculate yet for fear of a nosebleed,so no real squawks. Just some funny hands (and yes I do suck out some to as do we all,but not nearly as often as sucked out on as I don't often put myself in these spots...).

Sure a real variance run will be along sooner or later, but I'll just keep playing my game.

And on we go....

15. 501508560 15th A2o<43s Had 3 hearts to my A nut flush after the turn,CO raised me all-in (4 limpers to my BB to start hand...). Was on my last 6 bigs and went for it with a call. Bricked.
16. 501508807 16th 54o<QJo In BB again down to my last 4BB's. Flop is 239 rainbow, only caller is 70% commitment to call if I shove. I do with the OED and he calls. Turn and river blanks.
17. 501509396 4th A10o<AJo 2. bet from the button,BB calls,A83 flops with the A and 3 being clubs (I have none). BB jams,I snap and see the bad news. NH sir.
18. 501563760 2nd K2s<99 Jammed my last 4 BB's here,9 flops and that's all she wrote. Crippled previous hand when we were All-in pre (he 3x bet me,I 4x raised,he jammed,I called) with A10o me vs. QJo him. Flop is QJJ. Loooooooooooooove it.
19. 501563999 7th KQs<AA<J2o I'm sb,the button opens jamming his last 400 chips,I shove to isolate. BB (had to keep a mop nearby not to drown in this guys drool...) calls 60% of his stack off with J2o. Flop is KJ6 and a 2 turns. Since I had the AA covered I get 7th. And the BB wins a free lobotomy (redundant as that is...).
20. 501564293 26th And here's how...

Put my pittance of remaining chips in the middle next hand, with what I don't remember.

21. 501567658 12th A8o<KK 7BB jam from the button. Ooooops.
22. 501574537 2nd 2 main culprit hands shown below,including the KO hand...

Guy had been showing a very loose range, liked my chances to be ahead here a lot and was right...

Same as before really, knew I was good and was right. But rivered again...

So through 22 games I'm killing this set. Hitting variance I guess but it's coming AFTER I get something out of the games mostly. Just really trying to practice what I preached to Weaselbasher and some others....first thing is try to make the last 2 tables and then let it fly. Working well so far. When I have been KO'ed early it's mainly been getting got with AA or KK.

23-32....

23. 502048838 13th KK<AA 3x bets my BB,4x bet over top,call the jam. Buh-bye,Mox.
24. 502049161 12th KQs<AQo 8BB jam from hi-jack after my QQ was A-ragged 2 hands earlier
25. 502049991 18th 2 limpers to me on SB,ship my last 7 bigs with AKo,both call (had 1 covered) and turn K9o and 104s. 104 is big stack. 10 flops.
26. 502059790 14th 98s<22 totally card dead here,shipped my last 5BB and blanked.
27. 502063007 6th KQo<A10o 8BB jam from 2nd pos,A flops
28. 502066689 2nd 94o<107o guy limps,flop is 1094 rainbow,he bets 4x the pot,I jam he snaps,turns the set of 10's. Da Monkey Nutz failed me....
29. 502131993 8th see below....

Real money this would have had me steaming for a few. Made 1000% the right play (I'm NEVER turtling to a min-cash because a sitter is below me in chips if I get playable spots, and 10+ BB AK is a ship. Would do this the same way every time.) Just done dirty here...

30. 502132247 28th QQ<A10o I'm UTG and 3x bet,sb was table lucktard and ships. I snap flops is A10.
31. 502132544 4th As ahar10 said in one of his thread and I 100% agree with....sometimes the cards just will not let you win. 2 examples here...

Knew I was screwed when the 4th spade felted....

This one I really felt (based on my reads) that he was likely over-betting A10,A9 or A8 here as he loved ANY Ax hand. This player I'm almost always going broke here...

502135336 2nd KQo<AQ0o No K came...6 straight flame outs in HU spots. Don't think I played badly in any of them, but I really shouldn't be taking a horse collar in 6 straight.

So 4 days in I'll do my first running total update...

18/32 ITM (56%) That can't continue... Play chips invested: 10,240 Play chips won: 37,935

Profit/Loss: +27,695 ROI: +270% Neither can this...

What's crazy is I'm probably 40-45% the last 2 days holding AA,KK,QQ and AK. Those run just close to normal during those sessions and probably 3-4 more ITM's and a win or 2.

The REAL variance run has to be coming though, but when it does it is what it is...just keep playing.

I feel for you with those pocket kings. December was my month to fear that hand. They never won. This month is much better, but like you said, varience is a (censored). Goo run, keep it going.

10 more down...(man I wish i could load 6 of these at once,maybe even 8).

Thought it was variance night tonight but I pulled it together at the end.

33. 503152281 12th KJs<A9o I'm BB with 8 bigs left,3 limpers,almost shipped but didn't. Flop is A62,A and 6 are spades,I'm KJs. Sb min-raises and I decide it's go time right here and ship. 2 fold out,Sb calls,shows A2o and last 2 streets blank.
34. 503152615 21st A2s<AJo 5BB ship from MP1 after QQ was 4 on the felt runner runner flushed prior hand.
35. 503152885 41st This was the 3rd table I loaded but my first out. First hand of the tourney here...

The rivered flush doesn't really gall me,will see way worse than that in these and the .25 45 mans (which again,I'm trying to play these as I would them as much as possible). What slays me is the ship with middle pair and a 6 kicker. Oh well, seen way worse that that as well.

36. 503155589 3rd A10o<K2s 6BB jam to open,K flops.
37. 503214961 34th AJs (clubs)< 62s (hearts) Oh I wish I had saved this one but I closed the table by mistake. I'm Hijack and limped along behind 2 others. Button and both blinds play also. Flops comes Jh5c6c and it min-rasies with 2 callers to me,only button left. I 5x bet and the button folds, now Sb decides to ship his stack. All fold and top pair-top kicker with the nut flush draw I snap. Dork turns his hand over and I break Cardinal Rule #1 and LOL (not in chat mind you,to myself) Turn is Qh and river is 8h. I puke.
38. 503215375 22nd AKo<K10o I'm Sb,3 limp to me and I 5x bet it up (a little less than 20% of my stack). BB comes and 1 limper. Flop is K103 rainbow,I bet 1/2 the pot,BB jams and other player folds. I snap. K10....
39. 503215672 5th 99<1010 UTG and ship 12BB. All she wrote,days like this I NEVER suck out.
40. 503216429 15th 108s<AA Just card dead the whole way,was CO with 9BB left and the 2 blinds were going to need to commit 70 and 50% of their stacks respectively to call (had the button covered 4-1,they call NP). So i let it fly and it was reminiscent of the Hindenberg.
41. 503218756 1st End the schneid here. I'm Nicon sat out from 4 left on so when I bumped off the other 2 I just clicked him out. I DID give him 60 seconds to post 1st hand HU,after that it's later gator. And no,real $ I would NOT be that sporting. Here's the "winning hand" for all intents and purposes...

42. 503221557 4th A7s<KK 10BB shove from 2nd spot. Nice timing Clarence...

Want to show the very first hand of this tourney though as it displays what I mean by play premium hands early FAST,FAST,FAST in these (again this translates to the .25 45 and 90 mans ) as the utter crap that will call you is just stunning.

Games 43-61 (will see a jump in tourney ID's from 43-47 to 48-61,first group was last,Friday?,I think, second group Monday and Tuesday after getting back from having my guts ripped out and stomped into tripe on Sunday...)...

43. #503659858---2nd---76s<AKo---5BB jam,blanked thru...started HU short,didn't take long
44. #503660355---4th---AQo<A2s---2.5x bet open me,jam by villain,snap call,2 flops
45. #503660801---7th---KJo<A7o---6BB jam from UTG+1 after bubble burst previous hand,A on turn
46. #503688666---12th---88<A9s---9BB jam form button,9 flops
47. #503701163---22nd---KQs<AJo---4BB shove from Hi-jack after set of 6's pawned by set of 10's earlier
48. #508338532---21st---AKo<AA---9BB shove right into the goods
49. #505339255---11th---KJs<A9o---min-raise to my BB,flop is AK4,2 clubs (my suit),I lead out for 2/3's the pot, villain jams I snap and blank
50. #505339805---10th---99<A6o---7BB shove from button,A flops
51. #505729259---2nd---1010<KJo---guy limps from the SB,I 5x bet over him,he now decides to jam and flops a J after I call

Here's the hand that got us HU,hey at least they were s00tid....

52. #505729869---3rd---AQo<AA---11BB jam from lead position,I rule at jamming into rockets

As you'll see here I get lucky to get as deep as that, but then again we have a Turtleknife alert on aisle 3. DO NOT play JJ like this after the bubble bursts and you're M7 (OK...6.9 if you want to be persnickety...)

53. #505730754---13th---AJs<K9o---9BB jam from UTG+1,SB calls of 70% of his stack and flops a K,nice catch dopey
54. #505759760---7th---K9s<A2o---7BB shove from 3rd spot,blanks thru
55. #505868765---25th---95o<AA---2 limpers to my BB,flop is J94 rainbow flop,I ship my last 200 chips into the limped rockets. Was short after a set of 7's was rivered by a 8 high straight. Natch my set stays a pair it's good.
56. #505869773---5th---KQo<A6s---4BB jam,A flops.
57. #505870257---12th---KK<AKo---4 limpers to my KK in the SB,I 5x bet raise and limper #2 decides to put his stack in the middle. And flops an ace.
58. 505884621---AA<KJo---same exact time I'm losing the KK hand in #57 this happens. 2 limpers to the villain here and he shoves his stack. Of course I snap from the button,it's just me and him,he flops 2 pair and rivers a boat.
59. #505947039---4th---87s<QJo---7BB jam from SB,Q turns
60. #505947388---9th---AJs<Q4o<A4o---3 limpers to my BB,I frigging 4x bet them and 2 call with those crap hands,AQ4 flops,SB (the big stack and the Q4o) min-bets,I jam over top and both call. Luck box idiots that they are of course they got hit right in the face with the deck, lol.
61. #505947689---6th---K10s<A5o---2 limp to my BB,flop is K95 rainbow,I put my last 5BB in the middle,A5o calls and rivers a 5.

So through 61 now...

31/61 ITM (50.82%) Maybe this CAN continue, more or less....

19,520 Play Money Chips invested

60,615 Play Money Chips won

Profit/Loss: +41,095

ROI: +210.53%

Still killing it...starting to level down a bit,but not too much.

So far today I'm as lucky as a rock and almost half as smart...

62. #506338298---7th---AKs<55---I'm in BB,dude open limps from UTG and it folds to me. I 5x bet him,he flats, flops is A105 rainbow,1 spade so a backdoor flush draw. He min-bets,I get it in and he shows the set. Guy was terrible the whole game and kept getting lucky flops and turn/river catches.
63. #506338663---38th---JJ<109s---Why describe it? See for yourselves.....

Toicopami here is so blindingly stupid that I had notes on him going in and knew I had 99.999% of his shoving range crushed. This is not even close to the worst play I've ever seen from this dunce.

64. 506339144---4th---AJo<98o---Another one for my note collection. transit here had a vpip that had to be on the sunny side of 90% over probably 100 hands I tabled with him. Pre-flop raise % you ask? Well out of the 90+ pots in 100ish hands he entered he raised pre-flop exactly twice---open jamming AA and QQ (then showing us all how "bright" he is...) with better than 50BB's both times. So take a gander here---this was his "default" play...

His standard here...open limp,make a terrible call on the raise,hit every,stinking time,lol.

65. #506345193---18th---QQ<J9s---I 6x bet with 3 limpers to my BB. Flop comes Q85,2 clubs. I bet 2/3's the pot,1 caller. Flop comes a club.I'm 50% of my stack committed and do not want to be 4 on the felt flushed on the river so I lead out for my stack. Natch he had it. Two stellar calls like that pre and on the flop and it's only fair to reward his pointed little head.
66. #506356279---21st---AQo<JJ---I lead out 3x bet and get 4 callers. QJ4 rainbow on the flop when my 1/2 pot raise is jammed on I call. Oooops.

LOL,well as I said before one of the best things about what Cairn started with his challenge and what I'm trying to continue here is that if you do take these on and can get competitively invested in them it will help build up your tilt resistance as 10 games of these will have you lol'ing hard at the beats you will take from these drool buckets.

If by "competitively invested," you mean playing a serious game, I'm in full agreement. I addressed this in my challenge, but I'll repeat it here. When you go into a chip game with a serious attitude, you're beating half the field regardless of your finish. I'm learning skillfull play will defeat the maniacs, ATC pushers, and the luckmasters. Yes, you're still going to lose to the suckouts and river rats, but I'm finding their dominance of the game lessens the more you focus on the elements of skill.

Moxie, I'm most impressed by your analytical mind. An evaluation of each game is something anyone serious about improving their game must do. The old hedgehog admits he will examine his exits, but hasn't recorded them for both their educational and entertaining value.

Continued good luck on that 100-game quest.

Thanks Cairn, you deserve the lions share of the kudos here though. I would have never considered doing a 45 man or any other challenge had you not started your 27 man BOTP-esque challenge. Quite frankly at first blush I guffawed at the concept but now am very glad I gave it a shot. Would encourage others to do the same.

And please everyone,DO keep in mind that the hands displayed and the outs recorded are AT LEAST as much for entertainment value (mine mostly...) as they are for educational value.

It's not so different in the money tourneys, I found that once I started to laugh at all those bad beats, they got a lot easier to take.

Just imagine what must be going through the mind of someone who calls your all in pre with 75 off when you're on rockets. It never fails to entertain me imagining what these peeps must be thinking when you turn over those aces.

Hey joy.

Hmmmm....either one of two things I'll wager.

1. Button.......shiny......click.
