How in the Blue Hell do you expect to calculate the ROI on a tournament that has NO BUY IN???!!!

Come on dude, think a little before you post on some of these. A near Mensa intellect shouldn't need this kind of stuff explained to them.

Before you ask...

...Freerolls (including Weekly Round 2's),ALL league games, any private club games,FPP tournaments and satellites and many (most? all?) cash satellites are not tracked on OPR.

Also not tracked are any Sit'n'Goes with less than 36 players. Or any scheduled tournaments with less than 36 players for that matter.

OPR can be a useful tool for scoping peeps IF you understand it's limitations and adjust accordingly. Also understand that just because someone isn't exactly lighting the world on fire on OPR does not mean that they aren't a good player.

Hope he doesn't mind me pointing him out as a classic example of this but Panicky would be an excellent case. His OPR stats are a bit pedestrian but the kid is straight killing it on his STT's.

So unless you know what you're looking for I would be very careful in reading too much into someone's OPR numbers.

A hint that I used for myself (or did and will again when US peeps are back for $ here...) was to filter the OPR stats to show what opps had done in the game and the buy-in levels that we were competing against each other in. Also I would look at their last 100 results to see of they were running good (could be getting a clue or on a heater...) or bad (could be on uber-tilt).

Word to the wise...if you're going to use statistics learn to use them properly and never, ever let stats take precedence over YOUR reads and notes.

As Mark Twain said...

"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics".
