Final Table Themes
We have created final table versions for all of our themes. The final table theme adds spotlight effects to the background and to the table itself to give you the feeling of being at a big final table.

In addition to giving you the feeling of achieving something special, these will let you know which tables require that little bit of extra attention.

Real Time Pay Tables
The prize for each position in a scheduled tournament will now be re-calculated as players register so you can see what the prizes are at the moment.

I think this is cool. Brings up a lot of questions, though.

1) Is this an opt-in or opt-out feature?

2) Is there one unique final table theme for each existing table theme, or one common final table theme for all existing table themes? How will existing custom themes be affected?

3) Has consideration been given to players whose HUD's contain lots of data, so that the change in theme won't result in them needing to realign their displays every time they make a final table?

4) How many tables are required for a tournament to have a final table with a special theme?

5) Is there a link with more info?

Thanks for the update. I think the second added feature will actually go a long way toward making the software even more user-friendly than it already is. Cool stuff.

My final tables look the same as they always did, is there some option somewhere that needs a check mark??

What am I missing?

Maybe it doesn't do it for play money tables JW?...

I'm actually playing with it on different tables just eyeballing a random .25 90 man FT and it seems to be the same basic set up on all of them Panicky.

Sexier on some than others. Like I like how they have added a rear wall on the classic table so it looks like you're sort of in a room.

OK Stars, after months of dropping the ball all over the place THIS I give a big thumbs up. Cool idea.

Oh wow, just saw it on the Marine theme table and it's a sunset to. I always like playing that table anyway but this is really cool. And the Stars theme adds color in the corners. But it doesn't pop much on the Renaissance tables which I also like to play.

So it seems that the basic way the spots are laid out is static but there is some play with the table themes here and there.

Very nice touch.

Looks good on the Nova tables.

Panicky if you're worried about being able to differentiate them from your non FT tables then look at the Marine and Stars options. They REALLY stand out compared to the regular theme.

Marine theme's the one that I use... unless I'm in a saloon mood.

Hi Panicky

1) If you find that you no longer want the new FT themes, you are able to turn them off. Simply select; ‘Options’ > ‘Table Display Options’ > ‘Show Final Table Background’.

2) We have created final table versions for all of our themes. We wanted to give the feel of this being a final table without over-powering or completely changing the look of your chosen theme. The final table background adds spotlight effects to the background and to the table itself.

3) I would like to think that HUD's were taken in to consideration when these new themes were rolled out, however, if you find that you are having issues with your HUD's and the new themes, please write back to us and include the error messages and codes (if any) that you are receiving, as well as a screen capture of what you are seeing.

4) At this point as the themes are just being rolled out there is no information regarding how many tables will be needed for the FT to have a special theme.

5) After reviewing the PokerStars website I see no pages regarding that latest theme changes. However, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to write back to us.

If there is anything else that we can help you with, please feel free to let me now on the forum through PM. or just drop me an email at

Good luck at the tables.

And I was right,it doesn't work for play money tables. I'm on a FT as we speak with the Marine theme up and same old, same old.

Can't even throw US players THAT much of a bone I guess.

Have you tried running the PokerStars client through "PokerStars.update.exe" ? If not, try going to program files on your computer and select the "PokerStars" folder then click on PokerStars.update. Let me know if that resolved it Also make sure you have that feature turned on simply select;
‘Options’ > ‘Table Display Options’ > ‘Show Final Table Background’.

Bone, huh?ô¿ô It may not be steak.. but it's carne asada

Thanks for the info Cannon.

@Mox, actually I was just worried my HUD might block stack sizes when the table theme changes (if I play any MTT's).

As I said earlier :) I love it.

The nova green wins the award IMO.
