Season IV - Week 5 "Mid-Season Report"

It appears I was a little off with my "moving week" prediction, as the only team that moved was the 1st place Ace Holes... further ahead of the pack as they increased their season long lead in the overall standings. They've been getting production throughout their lineup, great job so far Ace Holes. The other teams trying to stay in contention all moved as well, but the end result was 2nd thru 7th place just getting jumbled up a bit from last week with the overall standings basically staying the same. In this regard the next couple weeks will be interesting in that at least one, maybe two, of these teams need to start closing the gap, because if all of the contenders keep leap frogging each other the Ace Holes will run away from the pack and cruise to the championship without much of a threat the last couple weeks. Who among the contenders is going to step up?

Two time defending champ Alpha seems to be relying a bit too heavily on their proven veteran stars, can alamo whip the rest of his troops into championship form? Maybe the perpetual middle-of-the-pack BADazzBEARS or Cheeky Monkeys will finally put together a strong finish. The 2nd year Chip Chargers have shown flashes of greatness, maybe they will go on a tear. Does Generation X have another championship run left in the tank, or is this a "rebuilding" year? The MAD BOMBERS got off to a promising start but have struggled with consistency and are one bad week away from falling out of the championship race. Will one of these teams step up, and keep stepping up, or will they just tango with each other while the Ace Holes dance away with the title. Guess we'll have to play the games and see. Oh and hey, you never never know, maybe either Pags To Riches, the Solvent Puberties or Kool Breeze will shock the world. Do you believe in miracles? Ok, maybe that's a stretch, but I couldn't leave them without a mention as they continue to represent well at the tables every week. It's a fine line with these things, all of the teams have great talent. Good luck to all the second half of the season.
