Variance is great, but today was ridiculous

#14: Biggest stack with QQ UTG, so I open for 3x. BTN flats, SB folds, shorty in the BB shoves, I reshove, BTN calls allin. Shorty shows 22, I show QQ, BTN shows K6 off..... No need to tell you who won that one.... If SB woulda mucked as he was supposed to I woulda prolly finished higher than 3rd.
#15: all-in with KT off, called by AJ off. Fliop comes K T T. I'm now 99.4% to win the hand, losing only to the off chance the turn and river are both AA or both JJ. Well, 0.6% chance to win turns into 100% when he turns and rivers the A. How sick can it get....

Funny - 29 pocket pairs in 183 hands. That's a lot more than the 1/17 you're statistically to get. And yet - only twice did I actually manage to get some value for them. Mostly it's either picking up the blinds, or losing.

Also funny: had a guy allin 6 times in 9 hands, every time I had the best hand, every time he sucked out. Guess that happens....

Anyway - 5 more for the books.

edit: for those keeping track, yes I changed the numbers on all my posts. Seems there was a calc error in post #1 screwing the whole thing up. Serves me right for not doing this in an Excel worksheet. All should be accurate now.

Hit a bit of a snag. First I get dealt QQ in back to back hands and getting knocked out of two SnGs against pocket kings.
Also - only cashed twice in 5 games, with no firsts. That's a low...

And we're grinding em down. Things are going well so far.

Even more annoying to see myseklf play like a donk way too often

Had a real bad run for a bit so decided to take a few days off. Got back today and cashed bigtime, including a 4th in a 45man. Neat. Best of all: except 1 time, I got my money in good everytime I was allin or got my stack destroyed. Everytime they kept calling off with worse. just how we like it. now only if they'd suck out just a little bit less.

Ity´s been a good day. Got sucked out on very few times, and for a change usually when the other guy was the allin player. I don´t mind so much if they suck out and I´m still in it.

One of those days again where it seems like someone ate PS decided you're not allowed to win. First I get the big stack dionkey to stack off with a pair of 3 ona 4 overcard board where I have top two pair - he rivers a set. Then next one I shove allin for 12BB and get called by J9. I flop a set and he hits two runners for a straight. Might as well give up for today.

And this is probably my last run for this month. So I didn't hit 100 games, not did I hit the target 37.50 profit. Well, at least I have a profit for this month
A run of 10 games with no cash is good enough to cut my profits in half. Too bad it takes a lot more than 10 games to get back to where I was. It's not to be this month

current bankroll: $53,88
cashes: 32/75 (42.7%)

most popular finishes for this run of 75:
winner: 12
runner-up: 11
bubble: 10
8th: 10
min-cash: 9
6th: 7
7th: 7
5th: 5
9th: 4

I think it's satisfying: most occurring finishes are 1st and 2nd, and seeing the amount of bubbles, I dare say I don't hesitate to play for the win and not the mincash. Although once could argue in these 9mans, a min cash is important....

Well a min cash in a 9 man is a 20% pay jump from 4th so it is important but your correct ICM play needs to be factored in to get the win too.

Good results so far!
