Hi milehigh!

Preflop, if playing the hand (which I normally would), I'm raising my std preflop which is to 2.5BB. Being called out of the blinds is a plus, because now I get to play the rest of the hand in position.

The flop gives me TPSK (top pair 2nd kicker). The opp now leads into me for just over 1/2 pot. I like the idea of 3-betting here and would normally size it at between the pot size and 3X their bet. A raise to 3X here is going to be almost 2/3 of their remaining chips..... so due to this, I'm going to shove over them on the flop.

Yes, the blind could have AK, A6, A2 or a set... but I think this a chance worth taking. Worst case, I still have 17BB, which is still a very playable stack that I can get some league points from, but a win sets me up for a VERY deep run and a shot at the final table and top 3 for the larger point payouts.

I like the way it was played.
