Hi all

Does anyone have much experience of playing $1.50 knockout 1 table Sngs?
I'm just wondering if its more profitable to play these as I'm thinking that play maybe loser as people are looking to knock others out for the extra money. This making it easier to make make the money spots as players knock each other out and thus increase my ROI.

I play the normal $1.50 sngs at the mo and will move upto the $3.50 ones once my BR hits $300.

Is my way of thinking off in this?

Prior to Black Friday 27 and 45 player KO's were my game of choice. Yes they are a bit looser as people chase bounties but that makes them a better investment IMO.

I moved up to the MTT versions to test ROI and found them to give me a higher return than STT.

Good Decisions!

I've played a few this morning and people certainly are chasing the bounties.
I just sit tight and wait for the good hands.
I'm getting AA allin preflop and getting called by the likes of 94s etc
They also seem to finish quicker which means more tournies per hour.

Might give the MTT ones a look.
Finished first in a STT one a little while ago and had $6.49 in winnings from it.

Hi jysteruk!

I played some of these before black friday too. The key in them is to just let the KO's happen... don't chase them. The big $$ in the tournies is in getting ITM and especially the top 3. That should be the goal in them, not knockouts.

Good luck at the tables.

Yeah I've noticed most of the players in these are just looking at the short term and think the idea is to go all in with junk to get the knockouts.

I'm looking long term and trying to get ITM as often as I can, if I KO some on the way then all the better.

+1 That's the exact way to look at this type of tourney.
