Heeey guys,

Thanks to the guys who helped me on the forum few days ago ,i just wanna ask some things..
I despoit 25 dollar on my pokerstars account and i started play with real money,i like to play zoom poker because there's a lot of action i think.
-I started play today atI play at zoom 0,01/0,02 no limit hold'em and i've won like 2 buy-ins (in total 4 dollars) but at the very end,i lose like 4,5 of my buy-in,so means i lost 0,50 cent today ......Do you guys know how to keep my profit?
-I always get the pain at the river, when i have and think that i have the best hand, ppl will beat me like 2/5 times at the river,i've also heard about abc-poker and i used it at the table, but still lose at the river, what am i doing wrong?????
-And what about to get re-raised with a hand like QQ-KK at the pre-flop,what is the best way to approch?

Tighten up on the river... don't put a lot of money in the pot on the river unless you have a strong hand.

Hi HbHuang.

The best way to "keep" your profits is to develop your full range of poker skills to the point where you are playing at a strong advantage over your opponents when you can USE the full range of those skills.

In my opinion, Zoom Poker does not allow you to use the full range of poker skills, as you have no way to effectively build a usable amount of information on opponents to pound on them for their various "mistakes". As such, your best course of action in zoom is to play a strict value range in EP/MP, and strongly play fit or fold in LP...in short "ABC poker". ABC Poker can work very well versus opponents who make a lot of mistakes, but with your table changing every hand in Zoom, it is really hard to know if that is the BEST way to play versus a specific set of opponents.

When ABC poker is not working, it can be pretty expensive...

So to me, the BEST way to "keep" your profits is to develop your skills at more normal ring game tables (6 max or full ring), learn how to beat up on opponents who will make different types of mistakes, and only play Zoom occasionally.

I would advise you to stop playing zoom poker , especially at 0.1/0.2 level . too many fish and as JDean says its pretty difficult to keep trck of who is bad etc.

Sorry for the off-topic, but I nominate this to the "Quote of the Year Award"

Seriously though, I don't know how long it takes before live training sessions are uploaded to the archive but Dave had a very nice theory session on how to adjust to zoom, so look out for that. In the meantime, you can read this article and watch the session video by Felix.

Good luck!

hi another thing you can do is when u win 1 or 2 buy ins you should bank your profits lets say you go in with 2 bucks and you with all in vs 2 other oponits eatch with 2 bucks you now have 6 bucks at the table you should bank your 4 dollor profite becuase you could run ionto someone with equal value in mony or chips and take ur hole 6 bucks so just bank your mony its the safe thing to do
