Hi all.

I am thinking of starting up a study group on Skype.

The focus of this group will be to go through all the PSO Videoes one by one (once each week), and discuss what we all watched.

When we run out of videoes, we could move on to discuss what we learned in the Live Training sessions.

Please note: this will NOT be a "teaching session" thing, and would be an open discussion of the materials we watched...ALL view points would be welcome, and we'd be looking to learn from each other in hopes of understanding the great materials available on PSO better.

I am thinking we could meet up on Skype one day per week (probably on a weekend, around early afternoon US time to be euro friendly), and the only 'requirement" would be that you take the effort to watch the video (or attend the training session) that we will be talking about each week.

If you'd be interested in joining such a live chat discussion group, pop your name in here and we can see how it goes...

I'm interested as this will help motivate me to watch/ rewatch some of the videos to help my game along and hear every ones opinions and insight on them.

Sounds like a good idea as this could give everyone some new insights and ideas to better understand the concepts and how to apply them. I hope I'll be able to join in!

weekends over the summer are normally a mess for me, but if I'm around one day, I'd be interested.

I'd love to hear you people discuss poker, and the Good Teacher in particular.

Though...

on weekends it's not that friendly is it... still, I'd love to hear you people, I'll try me best :)

Early Afternoon US Time on a weekend would generally be mid evening Euro time.

The US Central time zone is 6 hours BEHIND GMT, so 1 pm my time is 7pm UK time.

Alright!

It looks like we have enough interest to have a good group discussion!

This is what we all have to do now...

1) Down Load Skype

http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/home

2) Add me as a contact. My name on Skype is "YanToy4", and my real name is David Hodson.

Please make sure when you send a contact request you include the note that you are from PSO. I do not tend to accept random people into my contact list.

3) Create the group.

As new folks add me as a contact, I will create our "group" by inviting you into that chat. Once you are in the group, you will be able to add new people as well, but to get things rolling, please add me so I can start the group.

4) Show up this coming Saturday, at 1pm US Central time, 7pm GMT (UK time).

http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc <- Time zone Convertor.

simply enter in 1 pm SAT for US-Chicago, and the nearest big city in your own time zone to get the time to attend for you.

........................................

As we get people into the group, we can begin to discuss which video we want to discuss first.

See you there!

I was looking thru the videoes, and thought maybe a good one for our first session would be to go over TheLangolier's Session 3: Hand Reading, and Ranging Opponents.

Thoughts?

Great choice IMO.

I looked at it and yes I remember having watched it.
At the moment I'm "busy" watching the 45' wet maniacs in the Naples events so I have enough videos for today, but I will go over it before the weekend session.

We have "tested" the Skype this morning and it worked just fine, great chat, I enjoyed it :)

Hi JD,

Add me to the group, you already have my Skype address.

I think the timing could be looked at though as at a 8 o'clock on a Saturday evening I am usually out

Cheers,

TC
