Hi Everyone,

In this hand i decide to 3 bet my opponent to set up a good spr post flop, they were basically unknown with stats of 60/40 through only 6 hands.he calls and we see a flop, i decided to continue with a cbet to rep a big over pair plus continue with my misses for balance and they call.

On the turn i dedcided to give it up and check, but then my opponent makes a really small bet of 40cents, i felt like i couldnt do anything here with Ace high and decided just to let it go.
I just wanted to get your thoughts as to weather i played this hand correctly on the turn given my opponents very small bet, except 4 shoving over apparent weakness i feel like it was time to give up here.

Hi Nashy,

Although you only have 6 hands of data the fact that he's 60/40 and playing only a partial stack is good enough evidence this opponent is bad. I think c-betting is ok since you 3b pre, but this really is a horrible board texture to c-bet as it hits a lot of this guys probable loose preflop range and I'm not optimistic that he will fold a marginal made hand. Checking the flop and making a delayed cbet possibly (if you get a chance to) would really be ok in this spot. As played definitely I'm giving up on the turn, I think he's likely got some marginal 1 pair hand but I'm not counting on him folding if we make a move.
