Does one actually need tracker software ?

At what stakes is tracker software important ?

What are the main reasons for using tracker software ?

Imagine someone sitting next to you taking notes on every aspect of all your opponents play and then indexing it in a manner that allowed you to view all the information at the touch of a button.

Would you find it useful ?

I tried this thought experiment myself.

Of course you have to imagine the person sitting next to you knows enough about poker to take useful notes and statistics, so it didn't work the first time when I imagined my ex-wife sitting there taking the notes.....

but when I imagined it was Liv Boeree, the thought experiment was much more convincing.

As a STT player, HEM hasn't improved my game.

It does give me the ability however to multi table as I have an almost instant record of any player I'm up against. I also find it useful for showing any folded hands that have went to showdown and for reviewing hands I've played.
