At the end of a hand many players flash up their cards be it one or both to show what they were playing. I dont want all my hands to show but is their a function where if in this position you have the option to show and if so can someone give me step by step guidance how to do it as new to Pokerstars (although not to Poker)

Hello Wakingthedea,

A very warm welcome to Pokerschoolonline.

I have put a link for you which will introduce you to all the great things available on the site.

Regarding hideing or showing your hole cards, most of the experts suggest that it's not a good idea to show, however at the PokerStars tables you can chose to show i either both, or one hole card.

To do this click on the show card feature to show both cards or click on which ever one of your cards you wish to show.

Hope that's clear. Its easy to see when your actually on the table.

Good luck, enjoy your time here.

Go to the Pokerstars client software main lobby.

The menu along the top left of the screen has an 'options' option!

From the drop down menu under options choose showing/mucking hands -

then choose which options you prefer.

Then DON'T SHOW YOUR OPPONENTS HANDS!!!

I think if you have the main option set to show your hole cards, you can then click on either card to 'show' or 'hide' one/two cards.

The options menu is also on the chip-set rack icon on any NLHE table - click on that and a box pops up.

I don't ever (well rarely) show cards willingly so everything is set to muck/not show - so I don't use this feature myself.

Good luck

Hello there and welcome to the Forums, don't hesitate to ask any questions. Memembers here are very new members welcome. Also, check the Courses which are on offer for you to help you to get better at your game.

The best way to test your skills is the " Poker School Open Leagues " it's free to enter so it's more fun! ( A lot more people ) but hey more people = more fun.

Good luck at the tables.

pps for me, showing your hole cards can be a bad thing. or if it's their stratagy.
