This happened some hands later but to say the truth I believe I played this right, correct?

Hi Etienne.

Again, you give me no read data to base an opinion as to whether this play by you is correct or not. Things like how likely the opp who raised your donk lead is to play a worse hand than your middle set like this is critical to really judge YOUR decisions.


I can say that:

- flatting along on this depth of money with a small pp to set mine is usually ok.

- when you bink your set, the hand you were playing for, leading out rather than slow playing when there are draw threats present can be fine.

- seeking to "get them in" on a hand you are playing for, and one which is quite likely to be the "best" a lot of times on the flop, is rarely a bad thing to do, because "backing off" the hand you WANTED to see and one that is this strong here, is often a bigger mistake than running the risk of being stacked if the opp has TT.

...but all these things depend totally upon your READS, and without that info it is hard to say whether in this particular spot your decisions were good ones.
