Challenge Completed!

I know I took a long hiatus on this challenge but I did not forget about it and I am extremely satisfied about the way I finished it out. The goal of this challenge was to really just push myself and see what kind of numbers I could put up. I just wanted to focus as much as possible and get back to the basics.

Final Stats:

Cash a total of 23 out 50 tournaments.
Made 9 final tables with 7 of my final tables coming in different games.
Went 4-0 in heads up play to win 4 tournaments. All 4 tournaments were different games.
Made a profit of 610,980.

Also went 2 for 13 in turbo games with 5 min blinds. This is no fluke I am horrible in turbo games. I am still very happy with the results!

Hi Slip_Me_Aces!

Welcome to the forum. Here is a link that will help to get you familiar with the options that PSO has to offer.

Here are two play money challenges.
The first is from Moxie Pip and is for 45-man sng's.
The other is from Cairn Destop and is for 27-man tourneys.

Good luck at the tables.

I think I want to do the larger tournaments 100 through 5,000 chip buy ins. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to make a friendly wager on how well I would do in say 25-50 large tournaments. For just an example, a 50,000 wager on whether or not I could make 5 final tables or 2 wins in 50 tournaments. Let me know if anyone is interested!

I have a challenge for you, I took my initial 1K of play money and ran it up to 288K without a reload. At the time, I had no idea that you could get more play money, so I played like that 1K was the only money that I would ever get on Pokerstars.

I think that trying this challenge will teach you a lot about poker, and you will be a better player if you succeed.

PS. I started with 5.02 in actual cash and ran that up to over 1K, work your way through all the levels, you will learn a lot.

Well I already have 1,300,000+ play chips so I was looking for something a little more challenging. I am just going to start a 50 tournament challenge and see how much I can profit. If anyone wants to come up with a challenge or wager for me in the process let me know.

Made it to a final table tonight, which is nice because I wanted to get off to a good start. Just couldn't get any hands towards the end.

Finally had a couple of deep runs again. I was about to think I would seriously look foolish with about 20 reds in a row.

I played a very strange 5 card draw today as well. I hovered around 2,000-3,000 for the first hour or so and kept my head out of the water until I got some key pots. Then I went through a nice heater to almost final table. Usually if I get that deep I already have a nice stack at the first break or two so it is nice to see I could make something out of almost nothing.

Hey Slip_Me_Aces!

Just remembered one that you might want to look into that I've played a few times. On Sundays, there is a 1 million play chip guarantee on a large MTT called Cowboys Full (men only). The play in the beginning of it's very loose, but once you make it an hour or 2 into it, it plays like some of the micro mtt's. Take a look at it.

Hey JWK I actually have played that one a hand full of times and have only been able to get around a 30k stack. I will have to play it this weekend and record my experience. It would be nice if that was a daily tournament but im not sure if it would get the amount of players that it usually does on the weekend.

Made another final table but was out pretty quick. Had a short stack and could not get anything good at all. I think No Limit Holdem and Limit Holdem are the most brutal and difficult because of the outs you have to dodge. Not sure why but all of the other games come much more natural to me.

Decided to go with JWK's suggestion and play the Cowboy's Full tournament. Sitting with around 20k+ after the first break. Gonna see how far I can make it.

Almost 700k pot here. Not sure why he called but if I lose I would feel really bad lol

Down to 43 left and I have a less than average stack. Just trying to have patience and pick my spots.
