What a donk bet means in this situation? What is the best approach?

O que uma donk bet siginifica nessa situação? Qual é a melhor abordagem?

Hi Ahcrata,

With this being the 4th level you should have some good reads on him and of course him on you.

Is he agressive in lots of pots betting and raising pots in which case

A he could easily have Ax
B he could have a draw like KQ
C he could have air

you are in position and standard play is to raise on the button wider than normal if its folded to you.

is he passive

only calls but if he raises turns out he has the goods?

in that case Fold!!!

what does he think about you has he watch you fold to other Donk bets or does he think you will raise here.

Not a lot of help but i would guess its one of two things,

first he has air and hopes you are going away

second he has the goods and hopes you raise him up.

(I guess third could be true as this is lowest level of STT play ) he has no idea and is playing the pretty lokking cards.

Hope this helps

Hi ahcrata!

With QJo from the button, when it's folded around to me, I'm going to make my standard opening raise (3BB+1BB for each limper), so I'll raise to 300.

The flop gives me 2nd pair and now the out of position opp leads into me for just under 1/2 pot. Unless I had notes on the opp or a read that said that they play passively preflop, then likes to bluff lead on the flop, I'm going to muck 2nd pair here becuase I'm expecting the opp to have Ax here.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.
