Hi everyone! When I paste the hand into the replayer, click read data and quick save, a box pops up saying "opium.nT - wrong gamer name in hand history! (getGamerPosByName); The page and mouse cursor also go lagging, kind of a slide show.

Is there anything to do about it?

Hi Opium.nT. Could you copy the hand history to a new post because there may be an error in the history that is causing the problem.

Thanks
Doug

Hi opium.nT

The error message suggests it can't find a player name in the hand history.

Has the hand history been corrupted and "opium.nT" can't be found?

This does pose an interesting question. Can members store other hand histories were they are not actually seated at the table?

Yes, as long as all the "i's" are dotted and the "t's" are crossed.

I use the PSO replayer to record Hand of the Day vids and often will edit the player names to be "Player N" and "HERO" before loading it, works just fine.

Maybe it's with the spacing when you copied if over. The replayer is VERY picky with spacing... if there's an extra space or one missing... it won't take.

I seem to remember having a similar problem - but don't remember the details - I think it is a format problem.

Where are you copy/pasting your HHs from? I used to request them to be e-mailed to me and I think that affected the formatting somehow - so I then switched to copy/pasting from the hard drive saved files (once I set up to do that) or PT3 HUD when I used it, or usually now I just instantly copy/paste from the PS client Instant Hand History soon after playing any interesting/problem hand as I find this most efficient.

(Had some problems with ZOOM hands and home games hands as well)

Some techy people might know more about the source - eg if requests for e-mailed HHs are a problem if that is your source - I have not encountered problems with Instant Hand History formats since I started using them so you could try that.

Thanks everyone for the advice! The replayer works just fine now as I copy pasted the hand info directly from the table instead of the email. Guess this was the reason at the first place.
