Grab your favorite barstool, secure a bowl of pretzels, and order up your favorite draft, because it's happy hour at PokerStars.

Today, PokerStars announced that it will host a Ring Game Happy Hour three times a day until August 2. To get happy, all you have to do is play your regular ring games during the right hours. You could earn 50% more VIP Player Points and Frequent Player Points. It doesn't matter what stakes you play, whether you prefer Zoom poker, or if you like slow-paced action. Just play during these hours, and you'll earn more points than ever before.

PokerStars Ring Game Happy Hours

•06:00-07:00 ET

•12:00-13:00 ET

•21:00-22:00 ET

If you're wondering how this might benefit you in the longterm, you should know this: the more VIP Player Points you rack up, the higher you will climb in the PokerStars VIP Club. The higher your status there, the easier it is to earn rewards and Frequent Player Points. And with Frequent Player Points, you can buy just about anything you want.

So, get to work. Your next Ring Game Happy Hour begins in just a couple of hours. Don't be late and miss your spot at the bar.

For full information and details on the promotion, visit the Ring Game Happy Hour homepage.

A ten day promo seems a bit short....

I suppose it will help PSOers get their 20/150VPPs for the League Prizes and access to PSO training a bit faster.

I'm off the cash games until August but I might try to play some ZOOM 2NL Happy Hour sessions on the first few days of August to start my VPPs running for that month.

Good luck all

I said to myself "why not"
Log in at 12:15 and out at 13:00
Played Zoom 25NL (4 tables)
Played 784 hands for a huge profit of $4.78
92.99 VPP's and 185.98 FPP's

Now I remember why I didn't like Zoom
It's a free for all, bingo gambling donk-a-ton ...............LOL
I'll stick to my 6 max

Wasn't going to make Gold this month, but with this promotion, I should
And without changing anything

My question is: Why only 10 days, are they testing to see the outcome?

Hey Sandtrap!

The best way to get an answer for that would be to send a message to support@pokerstars.com, as they'll be the ones that will hopefully be able to answer it.

Good luck at the tables.

Hi all,

As with all our promotions, we're always reviewing feedback and judging how well they're received by the players.

I'll check with our Ring Games manager to see if he has anything to add in regards to the 10 day length of the Happy Hours promotion, and will check back in to this thread if there's anything to share.

Cheers,

Dylan

Thank you very much Dylan for taking the time to drop in
Makes lots of sense to see the interest on this
I know I like it, if it becomes a fix promotion and the VIP criterias don't change, I might just make it to Platinum and if it happens I might be posting in our Platinum forum................. to myself.....LOL

You guys do the best job of keeping us interesting in wanting to play, because every time I start to feel like maybe it'd be a good time to take a break, some new promotion pops up and get all excited and start playing again

I'm in the most colossal and prolonged downswing at Zoom ... but now that we've been included in Happy Hour this time, how can I not play?

Well 5NL full ring Zoom (one 50c top up) and left with $7.48 so what does it mean in VPPs?

Start 204.82
End 208.27

Is that good? Nearly 2 bucks profit is ok for being a bit nitty.

With the three different times, this promo should be available to everyone. It's drawn me back to the cash game tables, and that's a good thing so far!!

The promotion isn't a test. Keep in mind our Happy Hours offer a full 50% increase on benefits. VPPs are earned 50% faster so that you faster progress towards your Stellar, Milestone, and VIP levels. FPPs are earned 50% faster as well so that you're able to buy items quicker.

Hope you can all make the most of it!

Dylan

Dylan,

What I meant is, it's a test to see if it has merit, so that it might be implemented as a regular promotion, just like fulltilt had or other site have.

I'm straining my poor memory bank here Sandtrap, but have we not had this promotion before? We certainly had some form of Happy Hour promo but I don't remember the details.

Sadly I broke my cash bank balance (of $3.10) at the ZOOM 2NL and as I can't use my T-money on this I am out for the duration.

Good luck all

I just did an hour session 3 tables (first time I did that lol) at 2c/5c cash tables, but only earned 7vpp's
It felt like it should be more.
Did I miss happy hour?
West coast here and I think east is ahead by 3 hours so I thought I was at table for right time
I didn't see any announcment in chat that said "HAPPY HOUR !"
Maybe there isn't one ?
