To me it means:
  • [A] Play tight
    [B] Fit or Fold
    [C] Don't try anything fancy

I think that a player that plays ABC poker is one who plays tight and won't take many risks. I believe that they have a fixed number of type of hands they will play and nothing else. Some will also never touch the call button.

I'd say that ABC poker is a variety of things one should do when playing such as:

- Starting hands - not 27o
- Position - not 27o, UTG
- Betting - not 27o, UTG, all in
- Table dynamics - not 27o, UTG, all in, big stacks
- Type of players - not 27o, UTG, all in, big stacks with regular grinders
and others I might forget
