After turning 10$ into ~40$ on 2NL 6-max cash games and then, months later, playing a quick 0.10$/0.25$ and ending up with ~80$, I've managed to drop to 50$ playing 0.01$/0.02$ 6-max cash games, stakes I thought I had all figured out.

Unlucky flips, tilting and a feeling that the entire world is against me has made me loose confidence in my play. I've decided to gather what's left of my bankroll and challenge myself to bringing it back to 80$. Here's what I'll do:

Games: 1$ 45-Players Sit & Go tourneys
Amount: 100 Total
Initial Bankroll: 49.31$
Goal bankroll: 80$ after 100 tourneys (30.69$ minimum profit)

Anything above a 80$ bankroll would be awesome, but I'm giving myself a small goal because my confidence can only take so much at this point.

I will be posting the results of each tourney here, which will include the tourney ID, result, profits if any and personal thoughts on the game.

Any words of advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you and stay tuned!

As mentioned above, do look up all 4 of spacegravy's vids.. They helped my SnGs tremendously and I'm pretty sure they'll do the same for you.

Good luck and please keep us posted of your results!

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions guys, I'll definitely watch all the videos!

As for my recent results, I've cashed on 3 of 4 tourneys I've played today. I've posted the exact results, tourney ID and profits up in my first post.

I think I've done quite good considering these were my first tries at 45-Player tourneys. I could've finished 1st twice but the one in which I finished 2nd gave me a huge headache lol

I entered all 3 final tables heavily short stacked, so I'm happy the way I finished. I'm already extremely close to reaching my goal, but it won't stop me from pushing through the 100 tourneys and seeing where it can bring me. I've showed myself I could do well in 45-Player 1$ tourneys, so now it's time to perfect what I know about S&Gs, watch videos, look at my Hold'em Manager stats, where things go wrong, etc. and make sure my next 4-tourney session goes even better. Aiming for 4 final tables next time

Haha thanks, at this point I'm just hoping it wasn't beginner's luck... Guess we'll see about that really soon!

I'm actually scared of starting up 4 tables today... I really don't want to do worse than my first session, which was pretty good. Guess I'll just have to concentrate like crazy and make it to the final table on all 4 tourneys.

I'll tell you guys how it went right after. Peace

Session 2 Review :

Didn't go so well, as the results show... The 2nd place tourney was the only game on which I was able to spike a few premium hole cards. On the other 3 games, I would get mediocre cards at best and still didn't manage to steal the blinds with them, always being shoved on. I wasn't willing to risk my 10-20BB stack with J4o, no thanks, especially not at mid tourney without antes. At some point I had to and lost all 3 flips, resulting in a boot, hence the three bad finishes.

As for my last hand while heads-up on that one tourney that went well, I picked up pocket 5's and shoved. The other guy, a respectable player, called with QQ, meaning I was wayyyy behind. Flop, turn and river obviously didn't help and lost the remaining of my chips to him since he already had a 4-to-1 chip advantage. Didn't play it bad, just ran into better cards. It happens!

So the session ended on a good note; finishing with a profit at the end of this one seemed a bit far fetched after getting owned mid tourney on 3 tables out of 4. I'm just happy I was able to spike a 2nd place finish.

My goal for future sessions will be to make a profit after each session, meaning I have to get at least a 4th place per session, which would give me a 1.11$ session profit. Playing 4 tables per session, I'd make 25.53$ after the next 23 remaining sessions if I land right on my goal of a single 4th place/session, which is enough to reach my bankroll objective.

Anyways, I'll leave it at that for the day. Let me know if my session objective is realistic! Peace.

Session 3 Review:

Wow, what a horrid session. I lost 85% of my flips, ran into crazy situations, didn't play well, made bad decisions, tilted a tiiiiny bit and, well, as the results show, this session actually cost me money. My 6th place finish was seriously premature as my A10s shove (had less than 10BB) got called by a medium stack's K7o and he paired his 7 on the flop. Could've outlasted the other short stack and made a easy 5th place finish. Oh well, no guts no glory.

Anyways, felt robbed on that one... My AKs didn't hold up twice and reduced my stacks to almost nada, which cost me big time on the two tables I busted out early. Sucks, but what can you do...

Off to the next one!

Session 4 Review:

I have NEVER ran this bad in my entire poker experience. Every premium hand I got ran into either AA or KK. I got lucky about once or twice, and that was it. Here's a few replays that sums up today's session:

1. The guy that limps too much

This guy kept limping and betting the flop no matter what. He was also limping pretty much any 2 cards, so my A10o felt really good, especially after seeing an A on the flop. Mind you, the only reason I didn't raise pre-flop was because he would also call every single pre-flop raises after limping, meaning I didn't want to invest to many chips and end up completely missing the flop and seeing the donk take it away with bottom pair.

2. 20BB shove into KK

This guy kept raising pre-flop (like, 75% of the time). At this point, I was guessing any ace, any kings and even possibly any queen due to his high PFR% and VPIP%. I shove on him with AJo, which I consider to being the right play at 20BB.

3. Let's have a marathon into KK!

Just watch the video.....

4. Tilty blind-stealing missed attempt

He just had to be dealt KQs the only time I decided to shove/blind-steal out of the 4 sessions. This just shows how unlucky I ran during the session.

Now I know I'm not the only one that runs bad once in a while, but it's been 2-3 times in a row and I'm really starting to lose confidence in myself. This resembles what happened early in the summer with my cash game sessions: ran good first 1-2 sessions and then EVERYTHING went to shit during every other session. I really don't want to go back to 50$ (initial bankroll). Just hoping I can do better next time I play aka when I come back from vacation :/
