Hi minotauro678,

Yes, you are eligible and welcome to the Bankroll Builder.

To get you started we'd like you to play some play money games (In the PokerStars lobby go to Hold'em > Play Money > No Limit) and using the Hand Replayer please post a hand that you have found difficult here in this thread.

Doing this will ensure that you know how to use the hand replayer tool and if you've any questions on it just ask us.

Also please attend one each of the 'Getting Started at PokerStars' and 'Bet Sizing' live training sessions. You'll find these sessions daily in the Live Training section.

Please post back here when you have done both these things and we'll move you on to the next stage.

Hi minotauro678!

With AK, I want to make a standard raise and for me, that is to 3BB+1BB for each limper, so with 4 limpers, I will raise to 7BB or 14. I keep my raises standard, so that the opps do not know what type of cards I'm playing.
I flop top pair, but there are two clubs and many other opps in the hand. When they check to me, I'm going to make a pot-sized bet here. A pot-sized bet in this situation will make any opp that wants to draw to a flush or straight have the wrong odds to call... so on average, they will lose chips to me each and every time they call.
The flop completes a gutshot straight and I'm going to shove here too. Yes, the opp could have the straight, but if they do, they made a bad play both preflop and on the flop by calling my bet and raise.

With AA, I once again, want to make a std bet preflop (3BB+1BB for each limper), so I will raise to 12. When I get raised to 60, my next raise will normally be to 3X their bet (180) but since I only have 200 chips, I'm shoving right here.
Unfortunately multiple opps stayed in the hand, which makes AA lose more often and this hand hits one of those times.

With AQ, once again, I'll make a std preflop raise, to 12.
With top pair and a flush draw possible with multiple opps, this puts me in the same situation as the first hand, so I will once again make a pot-sized bet. Then on the turn, I need to make another bet and due to not having many more chips, I'm shoving the turn. There is nothing wrong with taking a pot down before showdown, as this one does... it means that I get more chips without a fight for them.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

John (JWK24)

Hi minotauro678,

Before we move on with the promotion we need you to learn how to use the Hand Replayer.

You'll find the instructions on how to use the replayer HERE

Please post a hand here in this thread using the Hand Replayer. Once you have done this we can move on from there.

Hi minotauro678,

I can indeed confirm that you attended the 'Getting Started at PokerStars' session tonight with André 'HoRRoR77'.

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then only play the 1/2 cent fullring real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you pass the quiz, get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.
