Hi Starpok6122,

Yes, you are eligible and welcome to the Bankroll Builder.

To get you started we'd like you to play some play money games (In the PokerStars lobby go to Hold'em > Play Money > No Limit) and using the Hand Replayer please post a hand that you have found difficult here in this thread.

Doing this will ensure that you know how to use the hand replayer tool and if you've any questions on it just ask us.

Also please attend one each of the 'Getting Started at PokerStars' and 'Bet Sizing' live training sessions. You'll find these sessions daily in the Live Training section.

Please post back here when you have done both these things and we'll move you on to the next stage.

Hi Starp,

In the A7s hand, just check your option after posing in late position here... the play money game is akin to a very loose micro stake table, and in this dynamic you're not going to think the field or isolate, nor do you need to build a preflop pot since when you hit post they will build it then for you with all kinds of garbage, so A7s plays better as a speculation small preflop investment. Post flop when the guy jams all in just fold, you have no pair and no draw, and are only ahead of specifically QJ but only barely ahead of that. Tx, Kx, any pair has you smashed, time to give up.

In the AJo hand, I like the preflop raise fine here. I would continuation bet the flop, don't trust others to do the job for you and don't risk a free card in a multi-way pot. There are plenty of worse hands that can and will call you. As played, I think the check-raise jam is fine here against a field of weak super loose spewers (common in play money but also happens in real money games too). They will call you with worse hands.

Hi Starpok6122,

I can indeed confirm that you attended the 'Getting Started at PokerStars' session tonight with André 'HoRRoR77'.

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then only play the 1/2 cent fullring real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you pass the quiz, get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

Hi Starpok6122,

Thanks for posting. I'll ask one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at this for you and offer some advice. Once he does this we can continue on from there.

Hi Starp,

No real advice, I think you played this hand fine. About the only thing I might suggest is value betting the river larger as the villain will probably fold his busted straight draws but pay off with most worse made hands even for a larger amount.
