New players often miss this kind of possibility. The big overbet on the river often means the player has a very strong hand, so when you see this happen take time to look for the possibility of a disguised straight.

You mean I have to take a look the community card after he is overbet?

What are the stack sizes and what happened preflop... I think this is going to be part of the critical info for the hand.

If I'm in the SB or EP, Q9o is nowhere near a strong enough hand to be in the pot to start with, so I'd be mucking it preflop.... unless I saw it free from the BB.
