Hi kravaLiuda,

You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions. Please let me know after you have attended this session.

Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

Hi kravaLiuda,

Thank you and I can confirm that you did indeed attend the 'Getting Started' session with 'GarethC23'.

Also thanks for posting these hands for review. I'll ask one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at them for you and offer some feedback. He should do this later on tonight.

After that I will post back here this time tomorrow with your next step on your Bankroll Builder challenge.

Great job so far!

Hi kravaLiuda!

With AJ from the BB facing an abnormal raise to 9BB, I'm going to muck. Unless the opp is a total maniac, a large raise will be by a hand that is ahead of AJ.

If I was in the hand and see a possible straight flush draw, when the opp makes a less than 1/2 pot bet, I'm going to call and see the turn, to hopefully complete my hand (straight or flush or both). I do not want to raise here as doing so will give me the wrong odds to play the hand. I want to make plays where I expect to gain chips on average, not lose chips on average. The opp has made a small enough bet that I expect to gain from calling, so I do not want to raise and put the odds in the opponents favor.

The turn gives me the 3rd highest flush. I do want to make a value bet here, but I do NOT want to make an abnormally large bet. I'm going to size my bet here at my standard value bet of 1/2 the size of the pot (114). Betting an abnormally large amount here is only going to accomplish one thing... getting myself value-owned. I'll make all the worse hands fold and only the hands that beat me (A or Q of diamonds) call. This is the exact opposite of what I want to have happen. I want to have the hands that I can BEAT stay in the hand so that I can gain chips from them. If I have the best hand, I want the opps to be calling.

With 77 on the button into a limped family pot, I'm going to call behind and try to setmine since I do have a large stack in comparison to the blinds. The BB now makes an abnormally large raise and with three others already calling it, I'll gladly call behind too, and hope to flop a set.

I flop a set, but there are possible straight draws and a possible made straight. The action ahead of me is a shove, call, call. With a set, even if someone already has a straight, I have 7 outs to improve on the turn and if I don't, 10 outs on the river to improve. Due to this, I'm calling here every time. The reward is well worth the risk and here's why.
I have to call 344 into a pot of 1418 (24.3%). Even if I'm behind a made straight, I have 7 outs for the turn (which is worth 14%) and 10 for the river (another 20%). Adding these up, my hand is worth 34%. Since my hand is worth about 10% more than my pot equity, I expect to gain 10% each and every single time on average by calling here.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Hi kravaLiuda,

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you get your first $2 and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

Hi kravaLiuda,

Your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours.

Use this first buy-in to then play ONLY the 1/2 cent full ring real money tables only on PokerStars. Playing any other game format will disqualify you from being able to obtain further buy-ins through this promotion.

Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games, along with a hand that you had problems, or that cost you money, while playing with this buy-in.

Also, please attend an 'Cash Basics' live training session. This should help too.

Good luck!
