Last few hands folded to raise.

I've got specific strategy for 1.5$ SNG.
And in this situation it would be to raise from small blind with Category 7 hand. But what I have is Category 8 hand.

So my question is if I have specific strategy and a read on a opponent. How should play it? Should I mix my strategy with my read?

Hey Ted Light

With K8s with just 6 big blinds this is a very profitable spot to shove all in.

Bear in mind that the strength of the average hand dealt to you is Q6o, we have to assume that our K high is beating the big blinds range of hands and as we are so short in chips we must shove all in. We will get folds most of the time and we will be called sometimes by a better hand, but we can also be called by some worse hands (J10,Q10+ etc ) and some hands we are flipping against such as small pocket pairs.

In the spot you are in it would be profitable to shove almost any two cards and the reason for this is because the big blind will be folding very often and only calling about 30% of his hands.

Hope this helped, cheers, Chris.
