Hi steffdbird,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion.

First up you will need to attend one of the 'Getting Started' Live Training sessions. These sessions can be found daily in the Live Training section.

Please let me know as soon as you have attended this session and then we can continue on from there.

Hi steffdbird,

1) Thanks for posting the hand, one of the Hand Analysers will review it for you soon.

2) Once you have attended the 'Getting Started' session found daily in the Live Training section let me know so I can confirm the attendance.

3) No need to worry about the Quiz just yet, that comes later. It's important to only do the steps when asked otherwise it will slow things up for you.

The only thing you need to do for now is 2) above.

Hi steffdbird!

The first thing that I would recommend is that when entering a table, wait until you're in the BB. Paying an extra blind everytime that a player sits at a table will be a very large drain to their bankrollover time.

With 34 here, I'm going to check. It is not a good hand and if I did raise, I would make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper, so I'd need to raise to 6. This is not a good enough hand to raise with from early position.

The next opp makes a huge, huge raise by shoving 124X my bet. Since 34 is a really bad hand, this is an easy fold. I'm basically never ahead here and I only want to be putting chips into the pot when I'm ahead, not behind.

One key to poker is to learn to not be results oriented. I want to make the best decision that I can for a given situation, based on all of the available information (players tendencies, stack sizes, etc). If I make the correct decisions, then I will come out ahead in the long run.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Hi steffdbird,

Yes, we saw you there and thanks for attending. Don't be shy about asking the live trainers questions in the chat box while you are attending these sessions. It's the best way to learn and it'll do your game the world of good.

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then only play the 1/2 cent fullring (9-handed) real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you pass the quiz, get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

If you have already passed the Poker Basic Quiz please let us know and we'll advise on the next step.

No, not yet.

Only do the steps when asked as otherwise you might miss out on a bonus.

We'll get back to you later with the next step.
