Hi Lord Ponelis,

You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions.

These sessions can be found daily in the Live Training section.

Please let me know after you have attended this session.

Hi Lord Ponelis,

The next 'Getting Started' session for your timezone is on Friday 30th November.

Please check the Live Training section on that day to register for that session.

If Friday does not suit you please let me know and I can let you know when the next one after that is.

Attending this session is the 1st step in this promotion so unfortunately it needs to be completed before we can move on.

Perfect yes, we saw you there and thanks for attending.

Did you enjoy the session, did you learn anything from it that you didn't know already?

Great to hear but remember that the other sessions come later on in the promotion.

Next up please practice on the on the Play Money Full Ring (9-handed) tables only.

Post a hand here in this thread that you had difficulty with using the hand replayer.

Here is a video tutorial on how to use the hand replayer.

Once you do this we can continue on from there.

Hi Lord Ponelis!

With 56s, since the opps in front of me limped, I'm happy to limp behind here to try and flop a monster. If the opps in front of me had raised or all folded, then I'd muck 56s here, as I'd have to open for a raise, as I do not want to open-limp.

I flop bottom pair on a 7-way flop. With this many opps in the hand, almost always someone will have a K or Q, so I am most likely behind. However, it checks around to the player on my right that makes an abnormally small bet (2 into a pot of 15). Due to this small bet, I need to see if it makes sense to call. My pot odds are 2/17 or 11.8% equity. Now, do I have enough outs to make my hand worth more than that. I have two 5's and three 6's taht an improve my hand, so I have 5 outs. Each out is worth 2% equity to get to the turn, so my hand is worth 10%.
Since the pot equity is higher than my hand equity, I need to muck here.

On the turn, I hit trips. When it folds to me, I need to make a value bet and with this many opps and a possible flush draw out there, I will make a pot-sized bet of 29 here.
The river is a card that should have missed the opps and when it's folded to me, I'll make a standard value bet here of 1/2 pot.
Overbetting like this on the river is not something that I want to consider, as I'll normally only get called by hands that beat me and I'll fold out all of the hands that I'm ahead of. I want to keep in all the hands that I beat.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then only play the 1/2 cent fullring real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you pass the quiz, get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

When you have passed the Poker Basic quiz please let us know and we can continue on from there.

Hi Lord Ponelis,

Congrats on passing the course.

Your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours.

Use this first buy-in to then play ONLY the 1/2 cent full ring real money tables only on PokerStars. Playing any other game format will disqualify you from being able to obtain further buy-ins through this promotion.

Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games, along with a hand that you had problems, or that cost you money, while playing with this buy-in.

Also, please attend an 'Bet Sizing' live training session. This should help too.

Good luck!

Yes, please play 9-handed tables and make sure they are full, that is, no empty seats.

Post a hand from a table like this and then we can continue.

Don't worry about losing the buy-in as we will credit you with another after a few more steps.

Thanks for posting these hands for review and I'll ask one of the hand analysers to review it for you and offer some feedback.

Once he does this we can continue on from there.
