Hi,

You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions.

These sessions can be found daily in the Live Training section.

Please let me know after you have attended this session.

Hi Doyle_Ivey77,

Unfortunately we do not see you on the list of attendees for the 'Getting Started' session yesterday and we are unable to move you forward in the promotion until you do attend this session.

Also, don't worry about the 'Bet Sizing' or any other session for now, those all come later in the promotion. It's only the 'Getting Started' session you need to attend for now.

Use the time while you are attending this session wisely, for example, prepare a few questions that you can ask the trainer while you are attending, it's a great way to learn.

Post back here as soon as you have attended this session and we can continue on from there.

Been at another Getting Started session, it ended just a few minutes ago. Was a little late but hope that's no problem and we will now move to the next step

Hi Doyle_Ivey77,

Perfect, we can see you on the list of attendees, did you find the session useful?

Next next play some 9-handed full-ring play money tables. Make sure the tables have no empty seats.

Find a hand that caused you difficulty or cost you chips and using the hand replayer post it here in the Forum.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Once you've posted your hand we will analyse it for you and then continue on from there.

Hi Paul! The session was very useful, I can now easily navigate through the lobby and find whatever I need

A hand played against one guy who pushes all in every hand preflop, the other one unknown.

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

When I took a seat, there were 9 players but several of them left in few minutes so in this hand the table is much shorter. I hope it's ok.

Hi Doyle_Ivey77

If the original raiser was moving all in every hand, then calling with JJ is a huge favorite. JJ against two random hands is about a 60% favorite. So, you were right to get all in.

Note that in a real money game, people are a bit more careful. Preflop I would normally only call an all in raise with KK or AA.

Finally, I strongly suggest staying on tables with a full 9 players. You can adjust the filter settings from the Pokerstars lobby to only show tables with 8 players. In cases like this one, when you suddenly lose several players, it is best to just leave the table yourself and find a new one. It is much harder to make money on short tables than it is on full ones.

GL and have fun at the tables!

Hi Doyle_Ivey77,

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then only play the 1/2 cent fullring real money tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you pass the quiz, get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

When you have passed the Poker Basic quiz please let us know and we can continue on from there.

Not the Cash Game one, just the Poker Basics for now, have you passed Poker Basics?

Hi Doyle_Ivey77,

You've passed the basics quiz, congrats on that!

Your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours.

Use this first buy-in to then play ONLY the 1/2 cent full ring real money tables only on PokerStars. Playing any other game format will disqualify you from being able to obtain further buy-ins through this promotion.

Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games, along with a hand that you had problems, or that cost you money, while playing with this buy-in.

Also, please attend an 'Bet Sizing' live training session. This should help too.

Good luck!

Played some hands and this is the one that got me into most trouble.

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Did not expect him to have that as he did not reraise preflpop.

Now I'm left with $0.65 and can't get a seat because of $0.80 restriction. What should I do?

Hi DI,

It's very unlucky that he had specifically AA, but some people will flat call with it sometimes. When he calls the flop it seems likely he's got at least 1 ace or a flush draw, I might actually shut it down on the turn and check, folding to any reasonable bet. On the river no problem at all with stacking off. We have the 3rd nuts and he can be getting it in with smaller boats or even just trips sometimes.

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Bet Sizing' live training sessions.

These sessions can be found daily in the Live Training section.

Note that due to the holidays there will be no Live Training sessions scheduled for Dec 24th and 25th. The next 'Bet Sizing' class scheduled will be on Dec 26th.

Please let me know after you have attended this session.
