Here I go again with the deposits ... what a deposit whale

Gosh, seems like kind of a long-shot since everybody's so good. But if it costs on average $5 to make a deposit, and there's 15 people to choose from, then doesn't this promotion have an EV of $6.67, assuming the players have an equal shot at lasting the longest?

And then, looking at everybody's stats, maybe you could even whittle the field down even more by considering how often each of them play live tournaments, etc, and lower chances down to like 1 in 8 or so?

I guess I feel the need to make excuses for making *another* deposit

Would be so cool to win though!!!

This is how I look at making deposits now.......remember I just play for fun now, a year ago was a different story..but anyways,

everything costs money....meaning if l go to the bar or for dinner...say goodbye to $200, or play golf...another $100 or so,

What l'm trying to say sort of......making deposits here is my cheapest bad habit....hiccup

but we all play for different reasons, just my 2 cents

cheers and good luck

Is that the quality stuff ur drinking, or is that sheer volume (jk - that must include dinner for you and the rest of your party, eh? )

Yeah, poker's so much fun, eh? Especially when it starts to snow and get cold and dark so early. I feel so lucky to have online poker available in Canada - hopefully they get something going in the States soon too so Moxie, Rocker, everybody can get back to joining in on the fun at the cash tables again soon ...

I guess I don't need to make excuses for making more deposits - the offers are really good ... Pokerstars is always really generous with the free tickets and deposit bonuses and stuff, so I guess it's always worth the while

GL with 'DANIEL' Effsea ... I'm still trying to decide on one person, and he's one of the 5

Wish I could, but a deal is a deal. Never deposit, and you can't lose (but you need good BRM and lots of patience.

Went with Elky on this. Seems as safe a bet as you can probably get...

Now all I need to do is watch everyone else do better!

Just kicking this up in case anybody was thinking of doing it, but forgot with all the other stuff going on.

ELKY was on my list of 5 too Havoc

Gosh, I couldn't decide between my final 5 because they all sounded so capable - I mean like all 15 sound totally capable! So the 5 who play the most and have won lots of big titles sounded especially good ...

Wound up just closing my eyes and using my finger to pick one off my list (lol!) and wound up with VANESSA ... but I'd have been happy going with anybody on the list. Wouldn't be surprised if any one of them does really well, and if any one of our picks winds up going out early, what with the luck factor and stuff - but if the cards go well, hopefully they all do well too!

GL to all the people playing the PCA, and GL to all of us who are participating in the promo!! Thanks PokerStars for another fun promo!!

Has everybody been keeping track of the results?

The three picks that got mentioned in this thread are all out (Daniel, Elky, Vanessa) ... boo

Guess they all like to 'shoot for the fences' eh? So it was bound to go one way or the other?
