Im fairly new to poker... just starting my second week on pokerstars. I started playing house games with a couple of buddies and decided to give online poker a shot.

This year, I want to develop a bankroll and improve my overall game.

I won 5 WR2 tickets last week and used one for the WR2 Saturday and won $0.44

I then played in a $0.10 NL hold em and won $0.27

I am now at $0.61. Basically, I realized if it wasn't for a one or two lucky cards, I'd be playing more freerolls

What are the best games to play to give me a shot at growing this bankroll? I looked and found there is only 1 tourney below $0.10 which is a high buy-in considering my bankroll.

And has anyone else done this? If so, how did you do it and how long did it take?

you need luck with $.61 in beginning. (no suckout)

i have done it limit holdem it didnt took much time as i do play 6 max which has very high variance

recent past i have restarted 20 days back with $2.20(got staked by royalraise) built it to 250

now running .25/.50

yes none of tourney you can play with that

Have you checked out Ed's bankroll challenge?

It's tough at the bottom with no games to select from, just stick with the league games and freerolls until you are confident you can take this real money to other games. Look for added money games, there's a few in the lobby that have high numbers but low buy in's. It's difficult to get established but as a1379 and Ed both shown it can be done.

Why not ask for a stake while you're at it? It could benefit both you and your staker.

Thanks ai for pointing out limit hold em. I prefer NL, but I won a few WR2 tickets playing limit games. As of right now, I will save a bit more before giving it a shot.

Thanks a lot ovalman for the advice. I checked out Ed's challenge, hoping I can have the same success he's having.

A stake? To clarify that is where someone gives me a starting fund that I can play with. If I win I give him half of my profit and also return the fund. If I lose...?

How can I get staked? I don't think anyone would want to take a chance on someone with a $0.61 bankroll. I could easily be wrong though.

Thanks again ovalman and ai

go to the staking section your best bet is to ask for someone to stake you for 25x 25c 45mans or 15 whatever u want to ask for basically they stake you the money to play so many games and u update your progress each game with hands that u found difficult and with the hand u got busted on etc by using the hand replayer that way they can see your mistakes and correct you on them and make you profitable at that limit gl
