Hi,

I have just signed up to PokerSchoolOnline and have been playing around on the site doing the quizzes, watching the instructional videos and was wondering if I qualified for the Bankroll Builder Promotion.

I have recently completed the First Test.

Help would be appreciated

Thanks Alot

Hi lJIMl,

You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions. Please let me know after you have attended this session.

Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

Here is my hand, was just wondering if I should be c-betting such a coordinated board.

I have also registered for a 'Getting Started Live Session'

Thanks James

Hi lJIMl!

My first recommendation is to play the full ring games, as playing any other format that 9 player 1/2 cent tables once you receive a buy-in will disqualify you from being able to earn further buy-ins thru this promotion.

With AJs from the button, I'm going to make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper. Due to this, I'll raise to 8. By making standard raises everytime, this helps to conceal my hand, as I'll make the same bet whether I have AA, 77, 22, AK, JTs, etc. The opps won't know what type of cards I'm playing.

The flop is not good for me. There are possible made flushes, straights and even a straight flush, plus all of the draws and pairs that the opps could have. If there was only one opp, I could make a 1/2 pot c-bet here, but with 4 opps, I'd need to make a pot-sized bet. With this many opps, I'm most likely not ahead, so I'm going to check behind here and take a free card. Unfortunately, even if I hit a pair, the card will probably help one of the opps more than me (finish a straight), so my plan in the hand is to check and fold to a bet by any of the opps.

Yes, in this situation, the bet won the pot, but the overwhelming majority of the time here, I'm going to get called or raised by an opp and be in deep trouble here, most likely even possibly drawing dead.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

John (JWK24)

P.S. Please let me know when you have attended the training session, so that we can move onto the next step.

Hi lJIMl!

Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz, please let us know and your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it and notifying us. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

Hi lJIMl!

Congrats on passing the quiz. Your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables only on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Don't worry if you lose this first buy-in as you will be able to earn another buy-in should this happen. It's always best to buy-into a table with the maximum that you can. That way, you can get paid more for your monster hands.

Use all that you have learned so far to try some real money games (1/2 cent tables). Post any hands that you have difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyse them for you.

Also, please attend the 'Bet Sizing' live training session. This session can be found daily in the Live Training section.

When you've done all this we will move you onto the next stage.

Hi Jim!

Please do NOT do things that you are not instructed to do. It will make this process take much longer. You need to play the 1/2 cent full ring tables and to post a hand that you had problems with or lost the buy-in with.
