UTG is 30/25/1; What do you think of the turn check? and are we getting any value by betting the river?

Hi geo,

Turn check is fine imo, it's a really scary board so it's hard to get called by too many worse hands, and there's always a chance he's planning a check-raise with AQ.

I like the river value bet personally. It's thin for sure, but when he checks a 2nd time I feel pretty good about him not having a straight, and when we get checked to twice like this players will often bluff catch us a bit more often because they feel like they've begged us to bluff. I think we'll get called by worse 2 pairs and maybe the occassional AA or AK that is trying to snap a bluff (Check-call the flop with AA or AK would not be a big surprise as the flop is pretty awful for these holdings).
