The first tournament will be at the end of this week or only in March?

Are players who have already qualified for the Premier League still eligible for this promotion?

First tournament will be on February 9th.

Anyone that made the Open league requirement during January will be awarded their ticket and the PSO professor will also be awarding some tickets. He'll make an announcement about that in one of his blogs during the week I guess.

Tickets will be credited to players who have earned them 2/3 days before each 'Big Bang' tournament and they will be notified by email.

We'll start a separate thread where members can post that they got a ticket and how they got on in the tourney during the week

There's two ways to get a ticket,

1) From Open League results.

2) Outstanding Contributions

If 1) doesn't apply because your in the Premier League you will need to target 2)

Please see 'How Do I Get a Ticket?'

And good luck to everyone!

I think you should give option 3) for player who play premier league
all player who finished 3 time in row in TOP 100 will get ticket (and i think this is difficult then TOP400 in open league)

I agree with this option. Or option 1 (even though I play premier league I can still play open league and submit my results, right?)

Hi ivanstole,

For now we are just working off the Open League results as Premier League players are already battling it out for a $5,000 first place prize each month.

I will certainly put forward your suggestion though.

Hi soneneso,

I doubt it but it's an interesting point. I will need to ask about this and I'll post back here when I know for sure.

I think it's a great promotion BUT... I've no intention of fighting my way through 10,000 players to try and reach the top 400. I've been there and done that and I know how frustrating it can be.

Perhaps in the future you could also award 100-200 tickets for those that play the Premier League Qualifiers?

If not then my quality of posts will just have to improve

In case you won the ticket for the Big Bang but not able to play it, is it valid in the following month?

Good Luck PSO'ers.

Hi Pinoy,

No, you must use the ticket the month you receive it. All those details will be included in the email that members get when they earn one.

Just fought my way to 351st for my first sub-400 finish in the open this month. I think it will be uber-difficult to do that 3 times in a row, so it will be interesting to see how many people achieved itin January.

Given the great prize on offer I might have to think aout adjusting my strategy again, but I will want to see what the field for the first tourney is and how the $5k pool divis up.

Will it be a tourney for all Open Skill League players (those that recive a recorded score in the league) from all PSO/Intellipoker etc formats worldwide?

Good luck all

Hi Ed,

Great result placing 351st!

It is is difficult but not impossible. We ran a study of the last 6 months of Open League results and on average 175-225 players achieve a top 400 finish 3 times in a row however they do this by playing hard and those players that sit out a lot wouldn't make the cut

In january i was making statistic off my play in Open league and i see now next:
03.1.2013 15:00 pos:147
03.1.2013 19:00 pos:200

then

04.1.2013 15:00 pos:347
04.1.2013 19:00 pos:184

then my last 2 tournament i played in january

31.1.2013 19:00 pos:277
31.1.2013 23:00 pos:17

so i have 3X 2 time TOP 400 in row in january but dont have 3time in row
also have plenty of top 400 places but not in row

I think i deserve one ticket for this playing

21.1.2013 07:00 pos:3
21.1.2013 11:00 pos:988

and

Should be a nice field for the prize tourney, and no, it obviously is not impossible - I see BobbyTheFish has staked his claim already this month from just six tourneys!!

So WTG Bobby - hope to join you in the March tourney.
