I cannot make up my mind if I want to play 6 max or full ring.
Which do you prefer and why?
Would you choose because if fits your playing style or would you choose one of the two and adjust your playing style to it?

Thanks guys for sharing your thoughts.

Hi DonV73!

6-max is much looser play, so I'd want to pick the one that fit my style.

However, the biggest thing is.. AM I BANKROLLED for it????

I try to use 100 buy-ins as a guideline for mtt's and 30-40 buy-ins for cash games (and always buy-in for the max). That way I can keep from losing my bankroll when a variance run hits.

P.S. As to which fits my game better, full ring.

Full ring seems to fit my game better.

Have tried 6 max but tend to get confused with hand values and slip into nit mode.

I would defiantly suggest playing the game that fits your natural style rather than trying to adjust to fit the game.

Thanks John for your reply

You say that full ring fits your game better, so that means you are not a loose player? Do I understand correctly?

I can imagine 6 max being more fun, more dynamic, to play as opposed to Full Ring. What do you think?

I'm a TAG, not a LAG and aim for about 20% of flops seen. That's what fits for me for tourneys and full ring games.

6-max is a lot looser due to the blinds coming around sooner.
