You are eligible for the Bank Roll Builder promo!

The next thing that you will need to do is to attend one of the 'Getting Started With Pokerstars' live training sessions. Please let me know after you have attended this session.

Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

Hi,
i attended the Getting started session with few others later. I post this hand from the open league tourney, im not sure about the bet sizing here on the river, it felt maybe bit too small for an online tourney and whether i should have continued the betting on the flop had i not caught the open ended straight draw(i probably should, but mor elike what should i do in case i get reraised). ill try to post some hand from the ring tables later, thanks

Hello eDASHmental,

Unfortunately tournament hands do not count for this promotion as it's a cash game promotion only.

NEXT STEP

Please play some FULL RING (9-Handed) PLAY MONEY tables on PokerStars and post a hand that you had problems or questions about here in this thread.

Here's a video that will show you where to find the Play Money tables at PokerStars.

Once you post your hand from one of these tables we can continue on from there.

Cheers,

hi, here is a hand from a full ring game, i wasnt sure how to play my pocket jacks out of position from the sb, so i tried to overbet the pot preflop, im not sure about the sizing as the table is pretty loose and i got 3 callers, i thought the flop came out really good for my overpair, so i kept betting, but wasnt sure how to continue on the flop, i went for the check raise, as i was sure the player behind me is about to bet anyway and i may sandwich the cutoff, but im really unsure about it, thanks.

Hi,

This is a hand to play aggressively vs. a loose dynamic. On this board texture I'd be willing to get it in (play for stacks/chips).
This a premium hand and should only be considered a fold versus really tight villains that have been observed. Very nice pot!

Please take the Basic Assessment Quiz, when you have completed it let me know!

Did you take this? >>Poker Basic Course<< and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz, please let us know and your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it and notifying us. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

hi, here are two hands from today/yesterday: first hand im dealt AK at BB, i felt like button might be on quite wide range so Sb might be attempting to steal, so i re-raised, when the both shove i felt like im big dog only vs pocket aces/kings and their range might be also some A-x hands i have dominated or some mid pair where i have odds good enough to call, but im not sure. The second hand, im really unsure whether i should have played the hand differently, mb yes but i dont really know. Thanks

Hi,

This one of the best spots we could ask for in a multi-way pot.
How long where you playing at the table with these two opponents? Did you have any reads about what their tendencies are? After 3betting 1/4 of our stack and with the action that ensued (of equal stack depths) I'd get it in only versus loose opponents that have been very active..if one of the two opponents has been really tight and on the passive side of actions..I'd consider folding this and pick a better spot to get stacks in. Unfortunate outcome to the hand, but no worries..you got the chips in as a favorite. Good decisions.

This is a close one, these low connected boards are very tricky to play when holding an over pair..our course of action in this hand ultimately comes down to "what where our reads on the villain, what range have they been taking to showdown in previously played hands, what position have they been playing from the most and have they been loose, tight or passive". Read less, I'd feel fairly confident about the strength of my hand, as they could be on a range of 8x, 99+ and some suited combo draws to the straight + flush, or pair + straight draw and our hand has a decent amount of equity for our decision to be profitable when betting/raising.

Please take the Cash Game Quiz, let me know when you have passed it and your second Bank Roll Builder buy-in will be awarded to you!

Good luck!

Your second Bankroll Builder bonus is on it's way to you, great job so far.

Watch this video that will help you on the cash game tables

There are three ways in which you can earn your next bonus.

hey, long time no see, sorry ive been bit busy finishing univesity, i have a question about this hand, the table seemed quite tight with not many pots called after being opened so i decided to loosen up a bit and open the KQo utg, on the board that came i decided to cbet with my top pair, the board was pretty dry but i think someone might setmine with mid pair or similar and got reraised from utg +1, i dont think hed play set or AK like this so hes probably finding where he stands in the hand, the rest of the table folds back to me, i wasnt sure it i should reraise here or how to continue in the hand, thanks

Hi,

Hand Analysis

I'd prefer to play this hand from a later position, ideally mid, HJ, CO or BTN. With so many players left behind us to act, it increases the likelihood of a better range of Kx being present and/or premium holdings such as AK AA KK QQ. The table dynamic as you have stated is tight, but did you have any specific reads on Villain6? Would they also be put into the fit or fold category? I also agree that this villain doesn't have a set here or even AK, AK AA KK and maybe QQ would have re-opened the action for a 3bet pre-flop, so we can somewhat narrow their range down KJs KQs KTs. A set would most likely slow played and smooth called our continuation bet given the dry board texture..as played I think you played it perfectly! the bet sizing on the flop, the check on the turn to induce if they did indeed have any bluffs in their range and the all in jam on the river to put them to the test, from their point of view you may have some flush combos and possibly a set in your range AKs AQs AJs 77 JJ 55 KK etc.. and they just shrug called it off. Well played!

Hope all is well with you and your studies at the university, glad to have you back!

Good luck and good decisions, thank you for being a member of www.pokerschoolonline.com
