Now we want to get you playing on the real money tables. Next up, and spend some time on this one , study the Poker Basic Course and take the basic assessment quiz at the end of that course.

Once you have passed this quiz, please let us know and your first buy-in will be credited into your account within 24 hours of passing it and notifying us. Remember you can earn up to a total of $8 with this promotion.

Use this first buy-in to then play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables only on PokerStars. Post back here when you get your first buy-in and start playing these games and we'll continue on from there.

Also, you can be practicing on the play money NL ring tables and please post a hand that you were not sure about, using the hand replayer. Here's a short video on how to use the Hand Replayer

Well done on the quiz!

Your first Bank Roll Builder buy-in will be awarded to you within the next 24 hours. Please use this buy-in at a full table of 9-Max 0.01/0.02 NLHE as your training is focused primarily on this game format. If you encounter any difficult situations, post a hand replay here in your thread and we'll analyze it for you!

Best of luck to you at the tables.

Please analyse this hand. Perhaps I should have folded when he re-raised on the river?

Hi,

What where your reads on villain1?

From early position I'd make my open raise size 6c. I do not want to play a multi-way pot with this hand as it will greatly reduce my hand strength and overall equity in the pot.

On the flop your bet sizing is fine 3/4 to full pot, this should get value from a flush draw, straight draw, Tx, 9x or combos of Kx and Ax.

The turn gives us top set, we can elect to bet 1/2 to 2/3 pot for value to not scare away any worse range of holdings and the same line applies to the river..this is a bet/broke situation vs. an unknown villain.. Q8 KQ and 78 are the only hands that beat us..

Has this villain been playing tight, loose or passive in previous hands post flop? Answering this question will determine our course of action on the river.

Please take the Cash Game Quiz, let me know when you have passed it and your 2nd Bank Roll builder buy-in will be awarded to you!

Good luck.
Kind Regards,
CannonLee

Hi,

What where your reads on this villain?
Being on the button with positional advantage versus the sb, bb and co, I like the call on the button to try and set mine, If we are to raise this hand to try and isolate the co and not flop equity or a set, rarely ever will we feel comfortable betting for value. Also let's consider the stack depths
villain9 has 70bb and we have 100bb..

On the flop when we get checked to, I'd lead out and bet for 2/3 pot for value, there is a flush draw present and there is certainly enough strong Kx in a tight co opening range to get value from. Slow playing here on this board texture is not what I'd do,if the turn came a spade we really would know
where we stand.

On the turn, the villain makes a very small sizing and it could mean alot of different things, (weak flush draw, pocket pairs 66+, Kx)there are 2 lines we can take 1.) smooth call and induce the villain to 2barrel turn and river or 2.) raise and build a stack to pot ratio for the river.

On the river, you sizing is fine and there is absoltely no way we can really get away from the hand, only KK 66 and 22 has us best which is a really narrow range of hands. This is a cooler situation.(1st nuts vs. 2nd/3rd nuts)

Hope this helps.
