Hi,

As in zoom we play a lot of unknowns and I was not very sure if I need to fold my TP decent kicker. My basic plan was to fire flop, turn maybe even river but due to the min raise on the flop OOP I played it passive the rest of the hand.

Really had zero reads as this was first hand against that villain. His raise and bet size made me think he's building a pot so should I fold on the turn?

Hi ferdy,

I haven't played a lot of zoom, but I found that nitty set-miners proliferate at the lowest stakes. You flopped top pair, good kicker on a super dry board. There are no draws apart from gutshot wheel draws, and I would think that 99% of zoom players are fast-folding 54/52/42 pre flop.
When you get raised here, 99 and 33 have you in terrible shape. Does AJ or AT raise you here? I don't think so.
Since villain can't have a strong draw, I'm mucking on the flop, even though it's not much more than a minraise, because he's repping a made hand that beats AQ. You have no draw yourself and are in terrible shape against AA/99/33/A9/A3/AK. You'd need a very good read to hero call 3 streets here, praying villain has a worse ace or is someone that raises and barrels with air. If you knew this guy bluffs often, then grit your teeth and call down, but I'm mucking here.

EDIT: If you call the flop, then I think you definitely have to check-fold the turn, because AJ just got there. You're now only beating AT, and I really don't think villain will keep firing with that hands unless it's specifically ATdd that picked up the NFD to go with top pair.

Hope this helps.
Cheers, Arty
