Hello Annisseth,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

I started off with a the high pair after the flop, and felt like I should raise.
after the river I still thought I had the highest pari and my opponents didn't seem to have much
so I riased big.
after last card I felt like i had a lot in the pot so I should go all in.
I didn't think he would have the flush.

Hi Annisseth!

With A9o from the cutoff, there is a limp and a min-raise in front of me. My decision on what to do here is going to be based on my read of the player that raised. If they are playing tight (not many hands), then my A9 is most likely behind, so I will muck. If the opp is playing very loose, then I will call and see the flop.

I flop top pair/top kicker in a 6-way pot. There is a min bet and a call in front of me and I am going to make a raise here. Due to having a large number of opps in the pot, I need to make a pot-sized raise here, which is to 160. If there were less opps in the hand, I'd bet less, but due to having 5 opps, I need to size my bet this way to hopefully get some of them to fold. My bets post-flop will always be based on the size of the pot, not the BB and on the flop and turn, I'm always going to be betting at least 1/2 pot if I make a value bet.

I see the flop with 3 opps and there is now a flush draw. When it checks to me, due to there being 3 opps, I need to bet 3/4 pot (188 chips). If I don't bet this much, I'm going to give the opps the correct odds to try to draw if they have a flush draw. I want the opps to be making plays where they expect to lose chips, not where they get the correct odds and expect to gain chips.

The river completes the flush and brings an overcard. When it checks to me with 2 opps still in the hand, I'm going to check here. Any opp with spades or a K crushes me and I don't want to be putting chips into the pot when I can easily be behind. If the last opp makes a small bet, I may call, but I'm folding to any sizable bet.

The key with this hand are the bet sizes. Non-standard small bets can price in opps for their draws and I want to have the opps make a negative play to call when I have the best hand, not to give them the correct odds to try to beat me.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Hi Annisseth!

I do not show in our system that you have passed the Poker Basics quiz. This is a major requirement to move onto the next step. If you did take and pass it, please e-mail support@pokerschoolonline.com and they will be able to help get it corrected. I need this to show in the system as passed, before I'm able to credit you with your first bonus.

John (JWK24)

P.S. This is the quiz that you have to pass.

Brilliant Annisseth!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!
