Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Hi,

How has the cash games been as of lately?

Hand Analysis

This hand facing a 4x open from mid position is a tough spot, our stack depth is 30bb we could elect to re-raise the villain 8 more cents or the sizing you have used 22c. The problem lays on the amount we invest and missing the flop.. I would have bet half pot on the flop and check back the turn when our hand improves to a full house or hand is just to strong and the board texture discourages any flush draws to continue in the hand..so let's have them catch up!
Very nice pot!

There are still 2 step you need to complete before we advance you to the next stage of your training!

1) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
2) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let me know when you have completed these two steps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

First of all, thank you for the hand analysis.

Player would want to make a big bet for following reasons:
to gain value from very strong hands
to protect against strong draws
to put a lot of pressure on opponents

I have also passed the cash game quiz.

Hi,

Hand Analysis

Sitting on nearly a 150bb stack depth this hand is safe to call with in the CO position as this hand has a lot of post flop potential and to make the situation that much sweeter we are in position.

Our overall course of action should be based on board texture, hand strength and ultimately our reads on the villains (what is their tendencies).

We have top pair with top kicker on the flop with a fairly draw heavy wet board texture and there are many turn cards that will hurt our hand and make us feel gun shy in terms of value betting. We could elect to raise the standard amount to 45c on the flop, but facing a lead out from the small blind and a call from the initial pre-flop raiser there is a good chance that we could be beat by many hands. Our hand is in bad shape versus a strong UTG range.

On the turn, we pick up some backdoor equity to a flush, but the board is paired which could leaves us vulnerable to a full house (highly unlikely) We could just call here and cross our fingers, but versus an over pair we are nearly a 4 to 1 under dog and pot odds/implied odds would dictate us not to call.

The river I'd elect to just check back and save bet's for a better value spot. Versus a tight under the gun range it's hard to be betting for thin value with just top pair on the board.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee
