Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

I started of with Ah 10s on a 1/2c play money table.Im sitting mid position and put out a small raise (6)for an info bet as the other players were playing pretty tight (4 callers).Flop showed 9d,5s,kc. No real threat bar the king as it was a dry flop for flush's maybe a straight draw.Had two overs to cover the straight draw incase they missed it or had small pair.1st checks so i made another bet (8) to see who had the king. Two fold and three call. Turn comes up As.1st checks again so i raise my bet (12)next two fold one calls.River comes out 7s and 1st checks again telling me no flush and only k's so bet again (16) and calls again. 1st mucks hand and i win with pair aces. Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.

He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

Cheers.

Hi frombhind_74!

With 57s from the CO, there are a number of limps, then a min-raise. Since there was a raise, I'm going to muck this preflop and look for a better situation to get involved in (with a better hand). Just because I may have an ace or suited cards doesn't mean that the hands should always be played.

If I was in the hand and see that I flop two pair, when it checks to me, due to the large number of opps in the hand, I need to make a pot-sized value bet here of 29 chips. I don't want to bet less than this, as I want to try to get as many opps to fold as possible, which will make playing the hand easier on the later streets.

The turn pairs the A and an opp makes a very small bet (less than 1/3 pot). Since the overwhelming majority of hands that would call my flop bet are Ax hands, if this is what the opp has, I'm totally crushed now and due to this, I need to muck to the opp's bet.
---------
In the AK hand, there is one very important point to be made here and that is to always wait for the BB before starting to play. Paying extra BB's to start playing immediately will be a very large drain to a player's bankroll and should be avoided.

Another key point with it is to make standard preflop raises, which is to raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper. With 6 limpers, I need to raise to 9BB or 18 chips. I don't want to raise to anything lower than this, as it make s calling a positive play for the opps. I want them to have to make negative plays, not positive ones.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!
