Hi chchchchloe,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!
NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.
Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basics Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.
So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.
He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

Cheers.

Hi chchchchloe!

With K9 from the BB, when the other 3 opps limp, I'm going to check and see a free flop as K9 is not a strong enough hand to be raising from early position with. Another reason not to raise here is that a standard raise would be to 350, but since that is more than 1/3 of my chip stack, I'd be pot committed and would have to shove. Shoving here with a marginal-at-best hand is not something that I want to do. If I knew I was ahead with a made hand, that's one thing, but all I have is king high with a bad kicker.

I get an ace high flop (which could hit any of the opps) and when it checks to me, I'm going to check behind. With 3 opps, if I wanted to make a value bet, I would need to bet 3/4 pot (1050 chips) and I not only do not want to do this without a made hand... I don't even have this many chips.

The reason that especially the opp with 46s stayed is that due to the bet sizes and the other calls, they were priced in with the right pot odds, to draw. When a player gets to make a positive play by calling, it's a move that they should be making (whether they know it's the correct play or not).

The line that I'd have taken with the hand is to check preflop with a marginal hand, then to check/fold to any bet on the flop, since I have absolutely nothing.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.
