Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi,

Hand Analysis

I'm a huge fan of playing short handed poker and bluffing! But keep in mind that throughout the rest of your Bank Roll Builder training only full ring (full table) 9-max No Limit Holdem hand replays should be posted, as your training is focused primarily on this game format.

Being in a positional advantage on the button is certainly a plus along with a 200bb stack, but generally this hand is going to flop a lot of bottom pair type of hands on many different board textures..which will lead us to not feeling comfortable value betting our hand, let's also factor in the other combos of 6x or 4x that may have us out kicked. This is not a value hand and more of a fit fold hand. I can see that you where trying to isolate the UTG (under gun) limper, what where your reads on this villain?

Post flop, sitting short handed on this flop texture we can certainly discount Jx from any of the villains range and maybe get a weak range of 9x to fold. I like your line to try and collect dead money with a solid sized continuation bet, but each of the villains where sitting really deep and could easily look us up with a wide range of flush, straight and pairs combos, if we got called on this flop I'd proceed to fold to any bets on later streets and save chips for a good value spot.

Hope this helps.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Hi,

Hand Analysis

Sitting on a 50bb stack depth in the HJ (Hi-jack) position we could elect to raise and isolate villain 3 and 2, but this ultimately depends on our reads of their tendencies. Usually a limping range is perceived as a weak range of hands and this hand of ours doesn't play to bad from an equity standpoint so if I was in this position I'd make my raise sizing just a tad bit bigger 3x the big blind + 1bb for each limper.

Post flop, we can either raise this flop to get value from a wide range of hands (flush draw combos, worse Tx or high card floats) or we can flat call and keep all of their range in the hand.

On the turn, there are only a few combos of Qx and Ax that contain a diamond that have us beat and the same applies to Tx, so at this point I'd also consider raising this turn as we have outs to the jack high flush and a full house. Again we could take a more passive line and call to keep their range in the hand but our hand is vulnerable to this range [Qx and Ax that contain a diamond] if a diamond peels off on the river.

The river, your bet sizing is fine and the villain is sitting deep enough to afford a call, looking back on it we could have maybe bet a little bit less on the river to extract value from a hero call of Ax or Kx or the occasional mid pocket pair. Nice pot and nice hand!

Hope this helps.
