Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi,
Hand Analysis

I noticed that you posted your blind out of turn, I'd suggest not doing that as over time that will add up! This is a marginal hand and should be proceeded with caution, meaning, there are several other hands that could have us beat in terms of being outkicked Qx Q9 QT QJ QK QA or pocket pairs 99 TT JJ QQ KK AA. This hand will generally flop a lot of 2nd pair type of hands and rarely will we ever feel comfortable betting this hand for value, unless of course we have specific reads on the villains. When the villain goes all in for 88chips (40bbs) I'd fold this hand, at best we are in coin flip situation 50/50 or an underdog 60/40, 70/30 or 80/20, plus we are not closing the action by calling which will invite other players into the hand making our overall decision tougher post flop and potentially reducing our hand strength/equity in the pot.

Post flop, I'd prefer taking a pot control line of check/call as opposed to just betting a pot committing size of 90% of our stack as this may be a situation of value owning our self (please refer to highlighted green text in the first paragraph).

Hope this helps.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Three reasons why a player should make a big bet are
-increasing the pot value
-protecting against the strong draws
-bluffing off hands that are decent, but not the "nuts"
Here is about how i lost almost all my promotion money:

Hi,
Hand Analysis

Sitting on a 100bb stack and in early position, this hand is fold. This hand doesn't really have value on this stack depth and with so many players left to act behind us we can be certain that they'll have a stronger range of hands, this includes Ax Kx Qx Jx Tx and pocket pairs 77 88 99 TT JJ QQ KK AA. Please focus on playing strong starting hands, you'll soon see this approach to profitable at 2nl full ring cash games.

Post flop, we got extremely lucky to flop the nut straight..with an intuitive outlook on the villain possibly holding an over pair to the flop or three of kind (based on their big pre-flop raise) I do not mind raising this flop for value. Unfortunate outcome at showdown. No worries!

Hope this helps.
