Hi Lukas.mreti!

Please do NOT do anything until you are instructed or you can make yourself ineligible for future bonuses in this promotion. We will let you know IF you are eligible and if so, what to do. If you try to do things out of order, you will need to redo them when it would be time to do a particular task.

Hello Lukas.mreti,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

John (JWK24)

P.S. The hand, etc.. needs to be from AFTER this message, not before.

Hi Lukas.mreti!

Nice try, but that is THE EXACT same hand you tried to post yesterday, which was BEFORE you were found to be eligible for this. The instructions for this promotion are specific and need to be followed exacty in order for the members to obtain the bonuses from this promotion.

Please play the play money FULL RING tables and post a hand that you had problems with FROM AFTER you were found to be eligible. Ones from before then do not count.

Hi Lukas.mreti!

This is NOT a FULL RING game, it's a 6-max. If you play anything other than 2NL FULL RING when you get your first bonus (any table or tournament other than this), you will be INELIGIBLE for ALL future bonuses in this promotion. The instructions for this promotion, once again, need to be followed specifically.

If you play anything not specified from this point forward, you will be INELIGIBLE.

This hand is actually a great example of why 6-max isn't allowed, as it is a different strategy from FULL RING. If this were full ring, ATo is not a strong enough hand to play and needs to be mucked immediately. From UTG in a full ring game, I need to have AQs, AK or AKs to play from this position.

With this being 6-max, it's marginal to open with AT here and if I did, I would make a standard opening raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper, so I would raise to 6 chips.

I then get 4 calls and a min-raise. While it is a hand with some potential, it plays very badly into a multiway pot, especially with a 3-bet. Due to this, I'm mucking to the 3-bet.
A standard re-raise would be to between 3X the previous bet (52) and a pot-sized raise (68). I want to keep all of my bets standard, as that keeps the opps continually guessing as to the strength of my hand. Players that bet more with better hands and less with worse hands are basically turning their cards face-up to any observant opponents... something that I do not want to do.

The key in this hand is to muck marginal hands preflop when out of position.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Brilliant Lukas.mreti!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Hello,

Please watch the Bet Sizing video in post #13 above and answer the following question:

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Also the hand that you have posted above is from a 6-max game which is not acceptable for this promotion. Please post a hand from a 9-handed Fullring table.

Cheers,

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.

He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

Cheers.
