NOT the usual recommended play - but an alternative in some situations surely?

Not being results oriented - but sometimes this will work with any cards - what MINIMUM criteria should we have to try to bluff our opps off this hand?

More of a 'discuss' than an analyse...

Hi Ed,

I am just wondering if you have moved off your 2NL FR discipline to 25NL zoom or just 6 max? LOL

Have you been at the pub again?

Cheers,

TC

Well if our HUD shows that Villain folds more than 90% to 3-bet over a large sample size, it's profitable to 3-bet with ATC any two cards. I don't see why we can't 3-bet 72s. Just don't get carried away postflop if he calls...

But in this hand, he had raised to isolate the limper. Plus he's shortstacked, so I won't try to get fancy here.

I like:

An opponent who is normally playing tight
+
Has a wide open range from the cut off

A high fold to 3b% helps. Having a blocker in our hand helps as well.

Edit: Also in this position, blinds that are tight rather than loose.
