Hello henrycastle,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

My hand wasn't great to start with calling, gaining a pair of 3's Then calling some large bet's. While the my attempted bluff fail, I gain a third 3 on the river. and Tripled my chip's. Was this a smart move?

Hi henrycastle!

The first tip that I would recommend is that whenever playing a ring game, to always wait for the BB to start playing. Paying extra blinds over and over will be a huge drain to a player's bankroll.

With Q3o from mid position, I get an abnormal raise to 100 and a call of it. A standard raise would have been to 3BB+1BB for each limper and with one limp, the std bet would be 4BB or 40. Q3 is not a good hand to start with and it's nowhere near a strong enough hand to call a raise with, so I need to muck this preflop.
I want to be making and calling bets when I'm ahead or have the correct odds to call and here, I have neither, as I have a really bad hand.

Patience and folding bad hands is a big key when playing poker. Players that will play any 2 cards will give their chips away to the patient players and I want to be one of the ones that is gaining chips, not throwing them away.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Hi henrycastle, I wanted to award you your first bonus, but unfortunately your Poker Basic quiz pass isn't showing on our system here. It's possible, but very unlikely, that it's a technical issue, so please take the quiz again and let me know when you have passed it.

Hi henrycastle,

Unfortunately the quiz pass still isn't showing here, so if you can talk me through what happened when you took the quiz that will help us identify what's going on here.
