I've spent my last couple of Hyper 6 mans to the Storm.

Spent a load on satellites which I failed miserably. Got 2 good quality hoodies though. The merchandise is top notch.

I quite like the 10 and 20FPP turbo MTTs. The field is soft (mostly Bronze and Chromestars play them), but a standard ABC game should get earn you a few cents.

I tend to look at this mathematically

Just make an assumption about how much time you think a satellite lasts and how big your chance of getting a ticket is(be honest about your abilities as a tournament player). If you are a cash game player like myself then you know what is your average hourly win rate. Say you can earn $5 an hour on average, if you purchase an entry for a satellite which lasts 2h minimum, then you are losing $10 just by not playing your usual game + you are not guaranteed to get a ticket every time so you need to take that into consideration as well. Compare it to the usual rate of change from FPPs to cash and you can see what the most profitable option for you is.

MTT tickets and satellites offer the best direct value for your FPPs but it usually only works if you were going to play the event anyway and FPPs just save you a buy in.

I am very well aware that I am a much better cash game player than I am a tourney player so for me it is just a waste of time and money trying to do anything with my FPPs other than saving them for a year when I will make a run for supernova and then change them directly to cash with the best rate possible.

You can buy them in the VIP store > VIP rewards - 2013 > VIP reward bonuses. I would recommend you not to do that though unless you're a supernova. 1k FPPs for $10 is $0,01 per fpp, whereas the supernova cash reward is $1,600 for 100k FPPs, or $0,016 per FPP, and that difference is huge.

I use mine for storm sats, switching between the 235fpp 6max hypers and the 70fpp 10man. I'll hit goldstar pretty soon so more FPPs means more sattys! I really, really wanted one of those cosy PS hoodies though but it seems like they're not available anymore. Those hoodies are definitely +EV.

Personally I am just storing them for SCOOP and WCOOP tickets
But my cash game is currently better than my tourney game, so it might not be the most +EV, but it is the most +FUN

I actually did the maths on FPP's a few weeks ago.
FPP sats are not in there since it highly depends on payout structure.

This is there value:
Tourney tickets from the VIP Store: from 1,55 - 1,6 cents per FPP

Direct cash from the VIP Store:
Bronzestar $10 1.000 FPP - 1,0 cents per FPP
Silverstar $25 2.250 FPP - 1,11 cents per FPP
Goldstar $75 6.250 FPP - 1,12 cents per FPP
Platinumstar $200 15.400 FPP - 1,2987 cents per FPP
Supernova $600 40.000 FPP - 1,5 cents per FPP
Supernova $1.600 100.000 FPP - 1,6 cents per FPP

I feel the same way
My poker hours are limited to 20-25 hours a week
To achieve my goals, I need about 20 hours of cash games
This leaves me with 5 hours, which is 2 SnG's or one short Mtt

I personally cash my Fpp's for $200 per 15,400
This year I cashed $1,400 already
I also use some for the PCA Megapath or any satellites or Mtt's that have odds of 1:5 or better (which is not much available)
I'd rather get a guaranteed $$$$ than play a satellite in hopes to get a ticket and then hope to cash in

All said and done, for those with little amounts of Fpp's the best is to use them for the storm satellites and cash them in.
