Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi andina666!

With Q9s, I get a min-raise and two callers in front of me. While this hand does have some potential, it's not a strong enough hand to call a raise that has two callers, so I will muck this preflop. If it were QJs, KQs, AQs or maybe QTs (which is marginal), then I'd call, but any lower Q is too weak.

If I was in the hand (which I would not be), when I see that I flop a flush draw and get an abnormal min-bet and two calls, I will call behind. A standard bet here with this many opps in the hand would be a pot-sized bet.

The turn is a total miss, but since the opp makes another abnormally small bet that is called, I will call behind and hope to hit a heart on the river. A standard bet for the opp again here would have been a pot-sized bet due to 4 opps in the hand.

The river gives me the 2nd nut flush and now the opp that has min bet the whole way makes a HUGE overbet that makes no sense at all. When it gets to me, I'm going to raise. My normal raise amount would be to 3X the opp's bet, but since I don't have that many chips, I will shove.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Hi andina666! I'll take a look at this hand for you.

This one looks like a cooler, meaning there was no way that all the money didn't get in the middle, and someone has to be unlucky. You have KK in the big blind, and there's a raise under the gun and a 3-bet by the button. Both of these players should have very strong hands. UTG will usually have something in the range TT+ and AK, so for the button to 3-bet he needs QQ+ or AK. It's definitely possible that one of these villains has aces, but your hand is way ahead of QQ and AK. You also only started the hand with 50bb. With this stack size, it's a no-brainer. You should 4-bet jam your stack in, as you'll be getting it in as a slight favourite against the ranges these players have. Just calling the 3-bet has some merit, as it makes it more likely that UTG will also call and see a flop with a worse hand than yours, but I'd generally go directly all in here and hope that only one player calls. After calling the 3-bet, you can never fold, because you've put so much of your stack in. Only if you were really deep stacked (like 150bb or more) should you ever consider folding kings pre-flop. 2NL villains will show up with worse hands in this spot so ofteb that you have to get your chips in.
It sucks that UTG actually had you beat with AA here. When you have KK on a full ring table, a villain will have AA about 4% of the time. You just have to chalk it up as a cooler. The roles will be reversed next time and you'll be the guy with aces winning a stack from kings.

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Arty

Brilliant,

Your Bankroll Builder progress is moving along nicely.

Step Three

Now we really want you to up your game! Your challenge is to earn 10 VPPs after getting today's buy-in.

Note that any VPPs that you have earned up to this point won't count, only those earned AFTER you get your 3rd buy-in.

When you hit your target of 10 VPPs we will award you with your final Bankroll Builder bonus. Let us know when you reach the target.

Also, if you make a deposit at this stage we will also award you with your final bonus.

Best of Luck at the tables and let us know as soon as you have earned the 10 VPPs or if you make a deposit.
