100 Billion Hands Celebration: $1M Golden Sit & Go's

PokerStars real money Sit & Go's will be lined with gold from June 17-23, as we celebrate 100 Billion Hands with our new Golden Sit & Go's! We aim to award $1M to Sit & Go players over the course of the promotion, but it could be more! The amount will grow with an increase in the number of Sit & Go's played. It's up to you - the more you play, the more chance you'll have of winning!

There are three levels of Golden Sit & Go:

Double prize pool + two buy-ins per player
Quadruple prize pool + four buy-ins per player
Ten times prize pool + ten buy-ins per player

If you're lucky enough to be dealt in the richest level then you could benefit by thousands of dollars!

How to Win with Golden Sit & Go's

Simply register for any standard real money Sit & Go starting between 00:00 ET on June 17 and 23:59 ET on June 23 to be in with a chance of playing in a Golden Sit & Go. You'll find out if your Sit & Go is a winner once the tourney is full and seated, and before the cards are being dealt. You'll be informed by an on-screen notification and the table will change to a special Golden Sit & Go theme.

You can keep track of the total prize money awarded for the week in the top right News section of the main PokerStars lobby, along with a link to any of the top level Golden Sit & Go's.
You can find our real money Sit & Go's under the 'Sit & Go' tab in the PokerStars lobby.
Please Note: All standard real money Sit & Go's are eligible, including Heads-Up, 6-Max, multi-table and Hyper-Turbos. Satellite and Steps are ineligible for this promotion.

The likelihood of a Sit & Go being selected is based on the rake element of the tournament buy-in, so there is no advantage to playing any particular Sit & Go. All Golden Sit & Go prizes will be paid out upon elimination from the tournament.

Contact support@pokerstars.com if you have any questions about Golden Sit & Go's or any other 100 Billion Hands Celebration promotion - where a total of $5,000,000 will be awarded across all events.

Good Luck!

This is one I have been looking forward to.

As well as playing Zoom I like to mix in some SnG's so during that week in particular I will be hitting them pretty hard along with some of the regular speed cash tables to try and cash in on some of the promotions.

The task of course will be to maintain focus and not just work up VPP's. Need to make sure it is +ev at all points.

Pokerstars has so many amazing promotions this month that I'm having trouble deciding which to go for, but this looks like a great one. I'll probably set up a staking deal for SnGs just in time for this promotion. Landing on a Golden table would be awesome.

This might just tempt me back to SnGs from my cash grind. Seems like if you play a fair few you're quite likely to get some free cash. Now I get the however many times the prize pool but the x buy-ins per player? What exactly does that mean? Does each player automatically get that, regardless of where they place?

Exactly how big of a chance do you have to hit one? It just says that some SNGs have a higher chance of hitting than others because of the higher rake, but nowhere does it state how often they occur. Any info on this?

A player who finishes out of the money gets double their buyin back, for example I just saw a player finish sixth in a six max $60 buyin receive $120.

it also depends on the speed factor normal games have 2.1x more chance to hit then hypers its rake based. how often no one will know the more SnG games will be played the more often it will occur to happen.

hopefully i can get a hit with my stake

The page that Croydon linked states that it's based solely on rake generated per buy-in by each SNG. Higher rake-better chance of being on a "golden" table. Speed structure (normal, turbo, hyper) doesn't matter beyond the different rake parameters of each.

For instance say one were playing $7 HU Hypers, they only generate $0.15 rake for each player, leaving $6.85 each for the prize pool.

By comparison someone playing a $1.50 turbo 45 man is paying $0.14 in rake so with a 4x smaller buy-in they essentially have an equal chance to be in a Golden SNG as the player choosing the $7 game.

HOW they're deciding what games get picked they don't say (at least nowhere that I saw) but I would presume that it's some sort of random number generator and programmed to be "random" within the parameters of the different odds as assigned by rake paid and the criteria that,at a MINIMUM according to the page,it could be more,X amount of money will be paid out in this promo,so Y amount of games have to qualify to get there.

Bottom line this is one sweet ass promo.

That's for a Golden SNG REX. The "doubler" is actually the LOWEST multiplier for this promo, they also have 4x and 10x ones.

Matter of fact as I type this I'm eyeballing a 4x Golden $4.50 180 man SNG,Tourney ID 746385411.

So for that one the players who missed making the money are getting $18 back on their $4.50 investment. The player who binks it is gonna really be stoked---in addition to the $221.49 they would normally scoop for shipping a $4.50 180 man, they're getting $664.47 tacked on.

THAT'S sexy.

FYI again as I type this, there is a .25 45 man wrapping up that made the cut for a Golden SNG. So the mini-micro games CAN catch this lightning.

If you normally play SNG's this is as good a week ever to get your grind on. If you don't this is a good week to give them a whirl.

Great promo Stars.

Wish I could partake.

Go eff yourselves 2 times US Government.

As soon as the field fills (i.e.,last person regs...) if the SNG made the cut a notification will pop up.

Woohoo, I hit one in an 18man! Finished 3rd after losing with 99vsK2 but not much you can do about that. Only took about 120 SNGs though.
