Hi All,

This is a hand from a $3.5 45 man where I came 2nd, I intend to post key hands which I would like some clarification on and the ones that I played badly for your review.

This is the first highly significant hand.

Would like your opinion on this spot in general, 3 bet shoving ranges. Villian stats are 12/9 , steal 15%. Should I over think his stats or is it profitable to 3 bet shove here and scoop the dead money with a decent range of hands e.g. 77+, AJ+, KT+ and QJ ?

I don't shove QJ here with 14bb , only 2-3 bb's . To shove I need more info, if his LPS is about 65% I might shove but only counting on FE but anyway it's not a good game for me. and it's to early to re steal so wide, there's no ante even

Hi Shyko,

I don't think this is a good spot for a 3bet.

12/9 and steal of 15% is really quite tight. His opening range even in the SB is pretty strong.

I think QJo actually blocks some of the range that he might fold rather blocking the range he calls with.

We would be better off targetting a tight player with a really wide steal (30%+).

I probably wouldn't defend by calling here either, because I think a tight players range has you dominated alot also.
